Chapter 67 - Chapter 67: Reunited

The next day, Kairos made his way to his parents' house, a modest home nestled in a quiet part of the city. As he approached the familiar door, memories of his childhood flooded back to him — the laughter, the lessons, and the warmth of family. Taking a deep breath, he knocked on the door, his heart heavy with the guilt of being away for so long.

The door creaked open, and there they were — his parents, sitting together in the living room, watching TV. His father, grayer now but still as stern, turned his head at the sound of the door. His mother, with tired eyes but a gentle smile, glanced up too. The moment they saw Kairos standing in the doorway, their expressions changed. His mother's eyes widened in disbelief, and tears welled up instantly, while his father's face hardened with a mix of emotions.

"Kairos!" his mother exclaimed, her voice trembling with joy as she got up from her seat, tears rolling down her cheeks. She hurried toward him, but before she could say anything else, his father stood up, his face stern but his voice cracking.

"You finally decided to come back, huh?" his father said, trying to sound tough but unable to hide the emotion in his voice. "Do you have any idea how many times your mother sat by this door, hoping you'd walk in? Day after day, waiting. And you… you never came."

Kairos felt the weight of his father's words hit him like a heavy blow. He hadn't realized how much his absence had affected them. He looked down, unable to meet their gaze at first, the guilt gnawing at his heart. His mother stepped closer, placing a gentle hand on his cheek.

"I missed you so much, Kairos," she whispered, her voice thick with tears.

"I'm sorry… I'm so sorry…" Kairos whispered back, his voice choked with emotion. Without another word, he stepped forward and wrapped his arms around both of them, pulling them into a tight embrace. Tears streamed down his face as he held them close, feeling the warmth of their love that he had missed for so long. His mother sobbed softly against his chest, and even his father, always so composed, clutched his son's shoulder with a rare tenderness.

After what felt like an eternity, they pulled back, wiping their tears. His father cleared his throat, regaining his composure. But then, he noticed something — three women standing quietly behind Kairos. His eyes narrowed in confusion.

"Kairos… who are they?" his father asked, eyeing the trio with curiosity and a hint of suspicion.

Kairos turned around, realizing he had been so caught up in the moment that he hadn't introduced them yet. He stepped aside, gesturing toward the three women standing behind him: Celeste, Mia, and Julia.

"Dad, Mom… I'd like you to meet Celeste, Mia, and Julia," Kairos said, his voice still thick with emotion but filled with pride. "They… they're very important to me."

His mother wiped away the last of her tears and smiled warmly at the three women. "It's so nice to meet you all," she said softly, her voice filled with kindness. "Thank you for being with our son."

His father, still looking a bit puzzled but not unkind, gave a curt nod. "Well… I guess we'll have to get to know them, won't we?"

Kairos couldn't help but smile, feeling the tension of the past few years slowly start to melt away. He had feared this reunion for so long, but now, standing here with his parents and the women he cared about, he finally felt at peace.

While Kairos spending time with his reunited family.

At Mount Paozu, tensions were high as Goku once again found himself on the receiving end of Chi-Chi's fiery temper.

"What the hell are you doing, Goku?!" Chi-Chi's voice echoed through the house as she pointed angrily at her husband, who stood there with his usual carefree smile.

"Come on, Chi-Chi, it's just a little training," Goku tried to explain, holding his hands up in mock surrender. But Chi-Chi was not having it.

"A little training? You disappeared for who knows how long, fighting in space, and now you want to drag our boy into it again?" She threw her hands up in frustration, pacing back and forth. "I'm not going to let you take Gohan away from his studies just to go punch things!"

Goku chuckled lightly, hoping to diffuse the situation. "Ah, don't be like that, Chi-Chi. I'm just trying to get him ready to fight those androids."

Chi-Chi's eyes flashed with anger, and she yelled, "NO!" so loudly that it shook the room. Gohan, who had been watching from the corner, gulped nervously, his wide eyes flicking between his parents. He had seen this argument play out countless times, but it never got any easier.

Goku, still smiling, placed a hand on Chi-Chi's shoulder. "Calm down, Chi-Chi," he said in his usual calm tone, but in that moment, he slightly misjudged his strength. With just a light touch, Chi-Chi was suddenly hurled across the room, smashing through a wall and flying outside.

"Ahhhh!" Chi-Chi's voice trailed off as she crashed into a nearby rock with a loud boom.

Gohan's heart nearly stopped. "Oh my gosh! Dad, RUN!" he screamed, knowing that when his mother recovered, Goku was going to be in serious trouble.

Meanwhile, at Capsule Corporation, Vegeta was showing his own brand of stubbornness. Standing before Dr. Brief, the Saiyan prince demanded something outrageous.

"500 times Earth's gravity," Vegeta said, crossing his arms and staring down at the doctor.

Dr. Brief blinked in disbelief, his cigarette nearly falling from his mouth. "500 times Earth's gravity? Vegeta, that's insane! It'll snap your spine like a twig!"

But Vegeta's expression remained unchanged, his determination evident. "I don't care. I need to push myself beyond the limits. If I'm going to surpass Kakarot, nothing less will do."

Dr. Brief sighed, running a hand through his wild gray hair. "You Saiyans really are something else. Fine, I'll make the adjustments. But don't come crying to me when you can't walk!"

Vegeta smirked. "I won't."

As Dr. Brief began preparations for the gravity chamber upgrade, Vegeta walked away, his mind filled with thoughts of surpassing Kairos instead of Goku now.
