Chapter 18 - Chapter 18: Meeting Earth God

Soaring through the skies, I reached the top of God's Tower in mere seconds.

A breathtaking sight greeted me—swirling green clouds wrapped around the tower like a sacred cloak. The air itself felt alive with power and mystery.

I landed lightly, taking in my surroundings, only to find two strange beings standing guard. They both exuded an energy I couldn't quite place—a presence that demanded respect.

One of them, small and round, had the most curious appearance. His green skin reminded me of a Granny Smith apple, fresh and vibrant. His large eyes glimmered with warmth, and a tuft of fluffy hair gave him a look that seemed playful, like he was in on a secret joke. This was Popo.

I felt an odd sense of respect and caution. Legends said Popo had watched over Earth for thousands of years. It was he who, ages ago, crafted the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, a feat even the powerful angels would struggle to replicate.

The other being was slender, draped in flowing white robes trimmed with gold. His presence was regal, wise—a sage, watching with deep, compassionate eyes that seemed to hold the knowledge of eons. I felt his calm, an aura of wisdom and authority. As he stepped forward, his voice rang out, resonating like a temple bell.

"Hello, Kairos. I am Kami, Earth's God, and this is Popo, my servant."

Popo gave a small, solemn nod, and I returned the gesture, but quickly averted my gaze from him. A mystery like Popo is best left undisturbed.

I looked back at Kami, surprised. "How do you know my name?" I asked, half feigning surprise.

Kami's eyes held a gentle mirth. "I've been watching over you, Kairos."

I forced a look of awe, then quickly adopted a serious tone. "Then, Kami-sama, may I seek your guidance on becoming stronger?"

For a second, he seemed taken aback, studying me. His gaze shifted slightly, perhaps trying to measure the depth of my power, and then he sighed.

"Kairos, your strength already exceeds what I can teach. But I can offer you divine techniques—methods that may help you find balance and control on your journey."

I hid a smile. Kami had no idea just how vast the universe was, how much strength lay beyond even the highest Earth gods.

Still, I nodded, eager to learn anything that would bring me closer to my ultimate goal: reaching King Kai. Kami's trust was a necessary step, and these divine techniques would only add to my arsenal.

---

Over the months that followed, Kami taught me with patience and dedication. He passed down the Turtle Destruction Wave and Energy Healing, both of which demanded finesse and control.

But the technique that caught my attention was one he called the "Demon Seal Heaven," a practice meant to cultivate peace and awaken Godly Qi—divine energy.

The technique's potential fascinated me, yet I quickly realized the difficulty. As a Saiyan, my inner energy was chaos, born for battle, driven by fire.

Peace was an alien concept, Without transforming into a Super Saiyan, I doubted I'd ever truly master it. Even so, I persevered. And when it came to Energy Healing, the level of precision required tested me to my limits.

Each day, my spirit grew stronger. My Qi, though not yet divine, felt sharper, refined. The intense focus had transformed me, and after over a year of this relentless training, I checked my status again.

The results were clear. After passing 8000 in combat power, I could see how my life level and evolution had progressed. Yet, my endurance hadn't grown as much. Training alone, without a true opponent, had its limits. I wanted more. I needed King Kai. I glanced at Kami, wondering when he'd contact him. The wait gnawed at me.

Deciding I'd earned a break, I thought of Mia, Celeste, and Julia. It had been over a year since I last saw them. With a rush of excitement, I took off toward Earth, toward home.

---

I reached our house just before dusk, landing softly. Mia was absorbed in her work, focused on a pile of important files.

Across the room, Celeste was hunched over her studies, completely absorbed. Julia, as usual, was probably off teaching at the university.

I stepped inside, and Celeste looked up, eyes widening.

The instant she recognized me, she sprang to her feet, rushing forward and throwing her arms around me in a fierce hug.

I could feel her grip, strong and unyielding, as if I'd vanish if she let go.

"Silly boy!" she scolded, her voice trembling with emotion. "You left us alone for so long. Do you know how worried we were this past year?"

I let her words wash over me, listening quietly, because in her gentle nagging, I could feel her love—an affection that anchored me, even when I was worlds away.
