Chapter 4 - Ch - 4 How Skills Lvl up

The immediate change I felt after doing this gacha was my dungeon map

Wait, getting multiple mapping skills somehow leveled it up?

That can't be for real right

I have read that the skills without level, don't level up

I immediately used appraisal on my Mapping skill

——————————

Skill: Mapping ²

Getting 3 copies made it of higher grade

Shows Monsters on the map

Shows Hidden layers on the map

Only conquered hidden layers are shown

Level up appraisal to make it easier to discover hidden layers

——————————

What does it mean, to level up appraisal to make it easier to discover hidden layers

Well, it doesn't matter I will soon make my appraisal level 3 anyways

——————————

Skill: Physical Strengthening

Mana: 50

Effect: Strength ×1.2

Duration: 10 Mins

Lag Duration: 20 Mins

——————————

Pretty common skill

Many people are able to get their hands on it

I think some breeds of goblins also drop this skill so one can find them on the market as well

I should go back for the day and continue tomorrow

{Next day}

Again, I must kill 2000 slimes or maybe even more but let's check the status first

[STATUS]

Name: Kai Ryujin

Level: 1 (48%)

Strength: 12 (11)

Dexterity: 17 (16)

Vitality: 18 (17)

Agility: 17 (16)

Magic Power: 15 (14)

Intelligence: 12 (11)

Luck: 100

Skills: Monster Gacha, Appraisal lv 2, Growth Boost lv 5, Inventory, Appraisal Block lv 1, Mapping, Physical Strengthening

It seems the status still says Mapping even though I could easily see Mapping ² when I used appraisal before, it most probably needs a really high level appraisal to get information about these skill levels unless you experience it yourself while having appraisal skill

I never knew having appraisal would increase its efficiency this much compared to someone using it on you

I am halfway done for a level up, I can't wait to see what I will get when I level up

Leveling was different for everyone, if it was like a game where you could follow the same strategy and win that would make everyone beat most dungeons but that's not the case in reality

People may get skills on leveling up or may get different amount of stats

It really depends on a person's nature

There is no way of knowing what a person may or may not get

Maybe once my appraisal is high enough, I might even be able to check what one will get once they level up

I should stop thinking for the time being and start doing what must be done and that is slime hunting

I looked at the map to find anything useful

But there was nothing in there

Yesterday the hidden layer entrance was jumping from here to there on the map but it is not doing so today

Maybe once I level up my appraisal I will be able to check more about how hidden layers work

I never thought having these types of skills would start co-existing with each other, there are plenty of mappers and appraisers out there but one with both is none other than me and people rarely buy skill orbs as only 2 Mapping skill orbs have been found and none for appraisal and Mapping skill orb would have sold for billions

Each day a skill orb could be seen going on for millions or billions

Wait I should be hunting slimes

Here I go

I was faster than ever, I felt like I was flying

Now the map Shows where the monsters are so I don't have to run in random directions and can immediately go to the next slime after killing

Sometimes a bunch of them would spawn in the area from where I just came so I go back to that spot

Usually, I wouldn't do that as I mostly would go forward

And for speed, it was godly. I don't feel much change due to other stats while fighting slimes but the effects of Agility stats are too obvious

In just two hours I killed around 1000 slimes

Sight

One may think that my killing rate will keep going up

But sadly, it seems to have maxed out already

This is due to the fact that I already surpassed the spawn rate of the slimes

They spawn at a slower rate as compared to the rate at which I kill them

After 800 kills I had to travel long distances just to fight one or two slimes

Waiting for them to spawn is more tiresome than to chase and kill them

I have never heard of anything that can increase their spawn rate other than a hidden layer where the same monster would keep spawning at a much faster rate compared to a normal dungeon

I guess I have no choice but to see why that hidden layer has been traveling from one place to another on the map

It was the same Yesterday

The entrance to the forest hidden layer I beat before was moving on the map every 1 minute

I have never heard of a hidden layer entrance doing this

I better pull up on the gacha and get lv 3 appraisal as it is just a matter of time before I get it

 『Slimes: 1000/1000』

I think farming hidden layers would be quite effective at this rate

slimes were good but it was still the most ineffective monster out there

 『Slimes: 1000/1000』

I clicked on it and gacha started rolling

Soon 11 orbs were on the ground

6 blue, 1 green, 2 red, 1 purple, and 1 slime orb were on the ground

 『C Strength + 2』×1

 『C Dexterity + 2』×1

 『C Vitality + 2』×1

 『C Agility + 2』×1

 『C Magic Power + 2』×1

 『C Intelligence + 2』×1

 『UC Affinity: Fire + 1』×1

What's fire affinity? I never heard about it

Continuing picking up the orbs

 『R Skill: Appraisal lv1』

 『R Skill: Fire Magic lv1』

 『SR Skill: Mana Regeneration lv1』

 『M Skill: Growth Boost lv1』

This gacha gave me a lot of stuff related to Magic

Let's check Fire Affinity first

——————————

Affinity: Fire

Increase the performance of fire based Magic

Mana Reduction: 1

Base damage Increase: 1

——————————

Simply just increases the power of fire based Magic

Feels like a stat but only works for Fire Magic

I already know everything about fire Magic so I immediately went to use the fireball

A small ball of fire was launched in front of me

It feels like it will hit a lot harder than my sword attack

——————————

Skill: Mana Regeneration lv1

Regenerate 3 Mana points per minute

——————————

Pretty straight forward

I will see all Magic calculations at home but for now, I have to see how exactly the hidden layers work

I looked at the map carefully

And Boom

A list of hidden layers appeared

I can scroll through the list

There were tons of hidden layers in this dungeon and all had slime in their names

I guess it's not like other dungeons Afterall, it's the original dungeon of slimes

There was an Original dungeon of Goblins

But it was ranked as a high ranking dungeon as it had many floors and also many hidden layers

The hidden layers I entered were clearly shown at the top and I could easily read the conditions to get to it

——————————

Forest Slime Layer

Hunt 100 slimes

Due to the 100 luck stat, 100% chance that the streak won't reset after getting a hidden layer or after killing 100 slimes

5% Chance to appear

Due to 100 luck stat, 85% chance it will appear

Appearing time 5-10 Mins

——————————

I get it the hidden layers have a requirement and after that requirement is full filled, there is a chance it might appear and the time is not fixed, it may appear in 5 Mins or even in 10 mins

Now I know the reason why it was changing positions so frequently

It was because after 100 kills, it didn't restart from 0 but from 99 so every other kill will also be counted for the next 100, and even after getting a hidden layer, one more kill will again make it 100 so the hidden layer will keep spawning from one place to another

Luck stat sure is really strong

Let's see the conditions for that golden slime

——————————

Golden Slime Layer

May Randomly Suck someone with 100 luck or more

Layer entrance may also appear if certain conditions are fulfilled

——————————

The hidden layers have already stopped appearing on the map

I should kill one slime and see if something happens

I killed one of the slimes and a timer appeared on the hidden layer

Yes, that's level 3 appraisal for you

The combined Power of Mapping ² and appraisal lv 3 was something out of this world

Let's see what we have in here

If I remember correctly the difficulty for the hidden layer is lowered quite a lot for the first time

Clearing it once took it to its normal difficulty

It wasn't an individual parameter but a parameter for the dungeon

Anyone who goes into the forest Slime layer won't have any difficulty lowered

Let's enter
