Djinn: A minute? You think you can last a minute against me?
Dakota: smirking Yes, I do. I can fight you alone for at least a minute.
Djinn: sneers You really are arrogant. I'll humble you, and your words.
Dakota: chuckles Come at me, then.
The Djinn increased his speed and appeared in front of Dakota. Dakota barely managed to dodge sideways, narrowly avoiding the blow. He then retaliated with a quick kick that pushed the Djinn back, but the Djinn quickly regained his stance and started launching a barrage of attacks. Dakota blocked them, but the force of each strike was making it harder for him to keep up.
Dakota: gritting his teeth Shit! I can't keep this up for long... I need to get out of this somehow.
The Djinn's attacks were starting to leave scratches on Dakota's body. He could feel the sting of the wounds, and he worried that if this kept up, he might be seriously injured. He needed to end this fight before it went too far.
In a split second, Dakota activated his Flame Boost, jumping high into the air. As he descended, he used Flame Boost again, propelling himself toward the Djinn at full speed. The Djinn reacted just in time to block, and their fists collided with a loud explosion of force. Both combatants staggered back. The Djinn stood up first, bloodied and bruised, but Dakota was in worse shape. His clothes were shredded, and blood was dripping down his face, obscuring his vision.
Dakota: laughing weakly I must look disgusting... and I probably smell awful, too, with all this blood. How many seconds have passed? Thirty? Forty? I don't know... but I just have to hold on a little longer.
Djinn: snarling Impressive... but not enough. You're going to die now.
Dakota: gritting his teeth Fuck you.
The Djinn, now visibly enraged, increased his speed even more, charging toward Dakota. Dakota barely managed to dodge the Djinn's fist, but was struck by a powerful kick that sent him flying. Before he could react, the Djinn appeared behind him, landing a second brutal kick. The Djinn began pummeling him relentlessly. Dakota struggled to regain his footing, barely managing to break free of the barrage.
Finally, Dakota snapped. With his body feeling like it was ready to collapse, he pushed himself to full speed, catching the Djinn off guard. Dakota launched a close-range Flame Strike, a technique that was even stronger up close. The fiery strike slashed across the Djinn's stomach, leaving a deep gash. The Djinn howled in pain.
Djinn: roaring AGHH! Fuck you, damn human! I'll fucking kill you!
Dakota: grinning despite the blood dripping from his mouth Good luck with that. Every Djinn I've fought said that to me, and they all died.
Djinn: furious Well, I'm going to be the one who kills you.
Dakota: laughs maniacally You? Kill me? Hahaha.
The Djinn's face contorted in confusion, his rage flaring.
Djinn: sneering Why the hell are you laughing? Are you finally going crazy?
Dakota: laughing through the blood No... I just find it funny that a non-important character like you thinks you can kill me.
Djinn: pauses ...What do you mean, "non-important character"?
Dakota: mocking You don't need to know... You're not worthy of knowing anyway.
Djinn: snarls You've really gone insane, haven't you?
Dakota: calmly I haven't gone insane... yet.
Before Dakota could react, the Djinn launched another attack. Caught off guard, Dakota barely managed to raise his guard in time. The Djinn's fist grazed his side, and Dakota cursed under his breath.
Dakota: grimacing Shit! If he hits me again, I'm going to be in serious trouble.
But just as the Djinn was about to land a fatal blow, a sword slashed through the air, cutting the Djinn's hand and forcing him to retreat. Dakota's eyes widened in surprise as he saw Henry appear, standing firm between him and the Djinn.
Henry: grinning Thanks for the minute's rest, Dakota. We're back in action now.
Lucas: nodding Indeed, it's our turn now.
Amelia: smiling You actually managed to keep him busy. You're as impressive as ever.
Ava: concerned Are you okay, Dakota?
Dakota: wincing, glaring at Ava Does it look like I'm okay?
Ava: frowning No, it doesn't. Get some rest. We'll keep him busy.
Dakota: nodding weakly ...Thanks. And don't die.
Henry: laughing Die? Please, we're not going down to someone weak like him.
Dakota: smiling faintly Yeah, that's true. You're the main character, after all. You won't die to some mere high-ranked Djinn.
Henry: grinning fiercely You're going to pay for hurting my friend, Djinn.
Djinn: mocking Well, I'm just glad I got him out of the fight. The four of you shouldn't be much of a struggle.
Henry: grinning Like Dakota said, you really underestimated us.
With that, Henry launched into action, his sword slashing toward the Djinn. The two exchanged blows, their strikes echoing through the air. Meanwhile, Lucas used his ice magic to freeze the Djinn's legs, slowing him down. Ava and Amelia attacked from a distance, launching Fireballs and Light Balls, both of them landing direct hits on the Djinn.
Djinn: growling Ah, shit... I shouldn't have underestimated you. Now I'll go all out.
The Djinn sprinted forward with even more speed, his strikes now landing with far more power. He slammed into Henry, knocking him backward, but Henry managed to keep his footing. Then Lucas attacked, launching a barrage of ice spikes at the Djinn. Some of the spikes hit their mark, but the Djinn broke through the others. Ava quickly appeared behind him, using a massive Fireball to strike the Djinn head-on, wounding him severely.
Djinn: gritting his teeth Fuck!
But the trio didn't give him a moment to rest. Ava hit him with more fire magic, Amelia with her light spells, and Lucas with his ice attacks, each one landing with precision. The Djinn, now taking significant damage, snarled in frustration.
The Djinn finally snapped. He moved faster than ever, launching himself at Amelia. He slammed into her stomach, sending her flying through the air. He then turned and struck Ava, knocking her to the ground. Lucas tried to defend himself, but the Djinn's kick sent him sprawling. All three were on the ground, vulnerable.
Seizing the opportunity, the Djinn charged toward Dakota, intent on finishing him off. Just as the Djinn was about to pierce Dakota's stomach, Henry appeared in front of him, blocking the blow with his sword.
Henry: growling Did you forget about me, Djinn?
Djinn: snarling You pests.
Lucas: grinning Calling us pests isn't very nice.
Djinn: snarling I don't care. There are only two of you left. You won't be able to do anything.
Dakota: smirking Two? I think you meant three. You can't even count.
Djinn: realizing, annoyed ...Well, damn. You recovered that quickly.
Dakota: nodding Not fully, but enough to fight.
Henry: grinning Should we do it, Dakota?
Lucas: nodding Yeah, we should.
Dakota: determined Let's do it.
The three of them simultaneously activated their domains, their auras flaring with immense power.
Dakota: smirking This is our three domains. You're not going to defeat us so easily.
The Djinn's eyes widened as he realized the true extent of his enemies' power. With his body still aching, Dakota prepared for the final clash, knowing this fight wasn't over yet.
