Chapter 19 - Chapter 19

Ever got the feeling you are somewhere you shouldn't be? That is how I am currently feeling while being dragged from Nejire from class to class, telling me stories of her experience in each of them, Mirio also saying something to be part of the discussion, and then there was Tamaki and me, just listening and trying out best to not be seen from the people inside the classrooms.

" Oh right, I completely forgot to ask. What is your quirk? Is it some physic-related quirk? You sure look like you have one, or maybe you just trained a lot, an intelligence-based quirk? That would explain why Nezu would be interested in you but not why he would have you as his student, so?"

Taking a big breath, I calm myself down, not letting the panic of talking to a girl make me stutter.

" I have neither of those, I can store things in something like a pocket dimension where time freezes." No need to tell them I have a weight limit.

" THAT IS SO USEFUL," Nejire shouted, jumping up and down with her quirk, thank you god for creating tight bras that don't let things move, and thank you Nezu for making your skirts long enough, my heart can't take that much.

" Then did you train to get this strong?" Mirio asked me after placing a hand on my shoulder, the callus in his hands making me understand that he also pushed himself more than others.

" Yeah, Nezu decided to take me under him because of what I did during these months to train."

" Months?" Mirio asked me once again.

"... I was quirkless less than a year ago." I dropped the bomb and waited for the incoming explosion.

"... This means you learned to use it in just 10 months? You are incredible." Mirio smiled while saying that, both Tamaki and Nejire nodding.

That's... not what I was expecting, I expected disgust, or at least a flinch, but nothing, instead their previous bright eyes were not even brighter, even Tamaki's.

" In just 10 months you learnt to use a meta quirk, which is some of the hardest to master, and you didn't even stop training during this time."

" Yeah, after getting my quirk I got the confidence in myself to finally start training."

" You started training only 10 months ago? You sure you don't have a body-related quirk?" Mirio asked me after looking me up and down, not with doubt, but with real curiosity.

To prove my point, I made a bag that I filled with changes of clothes appear on my hand and then disappeared by putting it back.

" Pretty sure," I said while making three lollipops appear in my hand, they were useful to regen stamina while fighting.

" Thank you." Nejire didn't wait and immediately all three of them.

"... How about a sparring?" Mirio asked me.

Mirio Togata Lv.79

Title: Lemillion: The hero who will save a million people

Highest: Str, End, Agi

Lowest: Wis, Per

Quirk: Permeation

Quirk Description: Mirio's Quirk allows him to become intangible, letting him pass through any tangible matter; he can phase through walls or the ground, as well as let enemy attacks pass through him harmlessly.

Quirk Analysis result: While intangible the user is unable to interact with anything, thus making him unable to move, attack, and even protect others, thus making the user fall to the ground endlessly. (Physic bonus) due to the laws of physics two matters can't occupy the same space, so when deactivating the quirk the user will be pushed away, and the pushing speed may change, so to prevent this the user is suggested to keep at least a part of their body constantly tangible

'That's quite a good quirk, while it has some drawbacks he could use the pushing forced from being inside another object to strengthen his strikes or boost his speed.'

" You didn't even tell him his quirk," Temaki said, talking for the first time.

" No need, I won't have the chance to always know the quirk of the people I am fighting, so this could be quite good training."

" Then you accept?"

" Yeah, let's do it," I said surprising everyone, the previous shyness and insecurity now replaced by an unstoppable willpower.

" Perfect." Mirio smiled and led me outside, into a big empty area where no one would be disturbed by our sparring.

Considering I still had my training clothes on, I didn't need to change, on the other hand, Mirio had to wear the UA training clothes, so while waiting for him, I took the time to calm myself down, relax my muscles, and let my mind slip into battle focus, this was the best state I could fight in, making my brain focus way more than normal.

" I am ready," Mirio said while I reopened my eyes, the sound of his footsteps alerting me of his presence.

Releasing the breath I had held till that moment, I take my battle stance, going a bit lower the usual to become ready to evade possible hits from below, Mirio instead remained in the same relaxed pose and just waited.

"FIGHT," Nejire shouted, finally making Mirio move, actually he didn't move, he disappeared.

I didn't move, remaining standing and waiting for any possible sign of an attack, my senses heightened to try to perceive anything.

And then I felt it, something shifting below my feet, it was subtle, the earth wasn't trembling, but something was happening, something unnatural, and then with lightning speed a fist appeared out of nowhere, a naked Mirio aiming for my chest.

Thankfully I was expecting something like that, so the fist only grazed my chest, while my foot was aiming for Mirio's head, only for it to go through him.

He once again went down, and I had to take a defensive position, I hoped he had a cooldown between activation and deactivation, but apparently, he had none, so this would drag on until one of has got the chance to deliver a big hit.

As I predicted, the fight went on for quite some time, more than any fight I had ever fought, but unlike me, who can regen stamina much faster than any normal human, Mirio can't, and from how he takes a big breath every time he goes down, he is becoming more and more tired with every dive, I just need a chance.

But the chance never came, before I could do something, Mirio appeared from one of the walls to the side of the gym where I had been tested.

'FUCK.' I thought while raising both my arms to protect myself from the incoming hit.

The thing felt like being hit by a truck, he had gone quite deep, so the pushing force behind the punch was much stronger than anything he had delivered to this point, I should have predicted something like this, but I didn't, and now I am in this situation.

But I didn't give up at least a hit, I had to at least touch him.

My arms felt numb, but I still tried to go for an elbow swing to his head, which went through his mocking face, what he didn't expect though, was the kick to his stomach, which I was able to deliver thanks to my boosted dexterity.

Just a centimetre, it was all the distance that was present between my foot and his stomach, it was all it took him to become intangible once more and make him kick do nothing to him.

He went right through me, taking this opportunity to shoulder-trow me and put his knee on my chest.

"MIRIO WINS." Nejire shouted, making my loss official.

'Fuck.'
