"Shadow beast,"
Ethan stared at the horde of shadows at the end of the hill," Amon What is a shadow beast?" The air was tense as he felt like something really bad was about to happen.
" Ethan, have you ever wondered why you get nightmares?" Amon said, as he turned his head to look at the shadow beast
" Is it because of that thing?" Ethan asked inquisitively alarmed.
" Exactly! Shadow beast are born from both the nightmares and the evil of the human heart," Amon explained, as he got into a battle stance, ready to pounce on the beast.
" I don't understand, what do you mean born from evil and darkness?" Ethan asked quickly, he wanted to understand it all before he began to fight, even though it was Amon that was going to do all the work in fighting this creature.
" Think of it as everytime a human does something incredibly evil, something like murder, a wisp of shadow energy would be born in the world, after accumulating completely, shadow beasts would be born,"
" It is also the main reason why us legendary beast hate and despise humans, because they and only them can create shadow beasts, and they still no nothing about it," Amon said.
Then he jumped high into the air and thrusted his claws at the shadow beast. As Amon did that, the shadow beast increased it's pace, forcing Ethan to run the other way.
As the shadow beast chased Ethan, Amon's sharp claws finally came in contact with it, but suprisingly, it went through it like as if it was nothing," oh no! Ethan, I just remembered, this is not my physical body, that means only you can see and touch me. Meaning...Ethan run for your life"
" I'm kinda in the middle of that already," Ethan said, as he moved through the trees with his new found reflex and speed, nothing could stop him, he was like an untamable crea-
Bang!!
Ethan slammed into a tree, forcing his body to fall and his mind slip out of consiousness.
The shadow beast had no reason to dodge any tree or twing or thorn, it just went right through them like the smoke of darkness it is, in a minute it would definitely reach where Ethan's body is located and end his freaking miserable life once and for all.
Ethan! Ethan! Ethan!
Amon flew back into Ethan's consiousness and tried his best to wake him up. He knew if he didn't, Ethan was probably going to die, meaning that he would have to wait for probably a few more thousand years before he found his new host, and he definitely did not want to do that.
" Ethan wake up! The shadow beast is coming. Ethan wake up!" Amon shouted at the top of his lungs in Ethan's mind, but all of it was futile.
It seems this is the end, how much longer would it take to find a new host?

The shadow beast already arrived, and Ethan was still laying on the ground unconscious, it was almost like he was dinner on a grassy player waiting for the shadow beast to dig in.
" Ethan, I don't know if you can hear me anymore. But do you really want it to end like this? Do you really want to die like this? Are you truly ready to become nothing but more than a forgotten son and a bullied child?" Amon said with a solemn voice.
While he was in Ethan's mind, he had full access to Ethan's memories, so of course he would have known everything that had happened to him. He was really enraged to find out how humans treat their own race like worthless pieces of trash. But what really angered him was Ethan, how could he be bullied every single day and still not once did it cross his mind to find a way to get revenge? Why didn't he get up after being thrown to the ground?! why would he decide to stay on the ground?!
" Ethan get up and fight! Fight! cause there's no tomorrow to fight for if you die here! Fight Ethan. GET UP AND FIGHT!!!
Ethan suddenly jolted from the ground, and just in time at that for the shadow beast had already brandished it's difigured claws and was about to impale Ethan.
Without saying a word, Ethan flashed at the beast, and began attacking it with flurries of punches and kicks.
But no matter how many punches he landed on the beast, it would just go by it like he was punching air.
" Amon, this is the best time to tell me how to attack this thing," he said, as he tried his best to use his fist to land some damage, but nothing was working.
" Ethan, regular punches and kicks won't work on this kind of creature,"
" Yeah no kidding. But could you tell me something o don't know?" Ethan said, as he landed a kick at the beast but this time, the beast reacted fast enough, and caught Ethan's legs.
" oh no," Ethan grimaced, as the beast raised him off the ground with ease and brought Ethan's face right in front of it's void-filled eyes.
" Hey, Mr shadow, any chance we could just talk this out like two powerful creatures of the night?"
Raaahrr!!
The shadow beast roared loudly at Ethan and flung him away with so much force that Ethan's back actually broke down a tree," ouch! That hurt!"
The moment his body crashed on the tree, his spinal cord dislocated, and a few bones hin his arms broke. But almost like a miracle, his body began to slowly heal, judging by how far he was thrown, it would take the beast approximately a minute to get to him.
" Amon, I think this is the best time to start talking," Ethan said, as he grimaced in pain.
Even though he was healing at a speed visible to the naked eyes, it was still extremely painful to have actually felt that.
" Ethan, all you have to do is to....stop fighting,"
Amon said with a frown that was not visible by Ethan.
" Stop fighting?! All I have to do is to stop fighting?! Are you crazy?!" Ethan exclaimed as he saw the thing he had begun to dread.
