Silphie turned to her kin, struggling to find her voice. With great difficulty, she managed to utter a single word. "S-s . . ."
Violet leaned closer, brow furrowing. "S . . . ?"
"S-starving . . ." Silphie gasped, collapsing into Violet's arms, her strength finally giving way.
Violet's eyes widened in shock. "Huh? Wait! Did they starve you?! Those bastards!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with indignation.
