Without waiting for another word, Nyx dove forward, her form vanishing into the serpent's gaping maw.
Horizon watched with a mixture of awe and mild exasperation. He could hear faint squelching sounds as Nyx moved deeper inside the beast, her voice echoing faintly from within.
"This is revolting . . . absolutely revolting," Nyx grumbled loudly. "You'd better appreciate this, Horizon. I don't do this kind of thing for just anyone."
"I get it," Horizon muttered under his breath, resisting the urge to roll his eyes.
He was relieved that Nyx was with him. If it had been any other player or creature—no matter how high their stats—they wouldn't have dared to enter the serpent due to its highly corrosive venom.
But Nyx was different. As a Great Dragon, her skeletal form was unlike any other. Her bones were likely among the hardest and most valuable materials in all of Eternia, resistant to even the deadliest toxins.
