My eyes were on the double doors that was nearly bursting open with the magical attacks on the outside, but when I turned around, I found the Queen holding the baby in her arms, hugging her tight, with her was a couple and a little girl that looked a painful lot like child Bianca, which took me absolutely off guard, because she claimed to be just a little older than me.
She was shaking and hugging her mom's waist, she could be older than she looks, given how faes age like demons, extremely slowly, and it takes a century and a bit for them to look like young adults at best.
But it was just them five.
"Bia," the Queen called, shaking, and when the kid looked at her, my heart jumped in my throat when she turned around, confirming me that, somehow, she is the Bianca I just met.
"Y-y-your highness," she gulped, lips trembling like her entire body with fear.
"If when worse happens," the Queen swallowed when they kept hitting the double doors of the bunker, "you will have to protect your Crowned Princess for us, okay? You have to. If it comes to that, we'll use a spell to keep you two protected, a magic spell that will only vanish when you are safe to get out of here. When you do," she grabbed an amulet that was hidden in her chest and handed her, "you have to use this, it has magic enough for you to go and comeback from the Underworld once in safety. If... if... if the worse happens, you have to take Asterin-Maela Deyanira C. Fae'nyx to my younger brother. Only to him, no one else, he will recognize the amulet and will know it's serious."
"You should go with her, Your Highness, we need you," Bianca's mom tried.
"I can't leave my mate behind, I have to fight with him, I won't runaway. If I fall, I will fighting. But if I lose the fight, I need to be sure that my baby will be safe. So, Bia," she turned to her again, whose eyes were in tears, "you have to save the Crowned Princess, okay? Save her and take her to my brother, no one else, not my parents, but my brother. His name is Balthazar Aire," my blood went cold when I got the answer to one of the questions burning me alive, and I felt sick, "he will know what to do. Tell him to teach her everything I taught him, to make her strong, and to... to love her," she cried, and the baby began to cry too. "I'm sorry, my love, I'm sorry," she hugged her, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I love you so much, your papa loves you so much, you are so loved, so loved," she caressed her curly dark cherry red hair. "So, so loved."
But the baby kept crying, as if knowing something bad would happen.
"Swear it to me, Bianca," the Queen begged, "swear it on your life."
Little Bianca nodded, crying, "I swear I will protect... protect the Princess!"
"Take her," the Queen said, pain all over her face as she gave the baby to Bianca who held her like she was the most precious treasure in the world, the baby's tail and wings hidden with the blanket the Queen had wrapped her in. "Keep her safe, and don't let them see she's ours, or they will know we had a daughter and come for her sooner than she's prepared for."
"I... I swear," she hugged the baby, who was still crying, then she went behind her mother, to act like the baby was not the Queen and the King's, but theirs.
The doors were hit again and they all flinched, then it exploded and a person came almost flying inside, after receiving multiple deadly attacks at once but staying alive, though really hurt, and when I saw it was the King, I felt my heart bleed, the baby cried harder as if it could feel her dad wounded, and the Queen screamed in horror, seeing her mate like that. In his back were the bloody remains of what seemed to be his dragon wings that had been ruthlessly mutilated and we're bleeding profusely. He was bleeding from many places.
And in the door stepped a group of nine fae, all from different orders, but by the color of their eyes and the colors they were dressed in, plus the books of distorted history I read in my two times at Von Hyden Academy, I could tell exactly who each of them were, their eyes just made it obvious.
The red-eyed Ethren Regulus Von Hyden, the dark pink-eyed Maeve Naevys Wintermere, the forest green-eyed Ariandar Amblecrown, the royal blue-eyed Eoran Hindergrass and his mate the orange-eyed Alaisa Ursula Ravenhorn, her older twin brother the also orange-eyed Prometeu Damaskenos Ravenhorn, the ash grey-eyed Bernard Henley Whitfield, the ice blue-eyed Milo George Natheridge, and the black-eyed Rune Sten Blackstrand. A 'legendary' group of Noble 'heroes' that defeated the 'Tyrant King' Mar-Nevek Balor Fae'nyx, in a fight that lasted 15 years.
More like 5 hours, what a fucking load of bullshit.
They were all wounded, considerably badly for a 9 against 1 fight, but hatefully better than the King, way better than him. Probably because if the books of history at to be even slightly believed, they were a group of sixteen, as it was a 16 against 1 fight, two of each of the attacking houses, but the King managed to kill almost one of each, except the two Ravenhorns. It was the most coward combat existent in my fucking opinion, and they find it glorifying.
"Love!" The Queen ran to him.
"I'm... I'm sorry, darling," he whispered to her, a vampire dagger in his left eyes making the left side of his face covered in blood, "I failed you."
"No," she screamed in tears, "no, you didn't, you could never, you didn't."
"We need to... save..."
"I know," she cried, "I know," then she turned to the nine pieces of shit. "You will pay for this. You will pay for what you are doing to us."
"This is all your fault, demon!" Maeve Wintermere female yelled.
"You made him kill a breach of my kind," Ethren Von Hyden yelled, "you filthy,"
"Your cousin tried to murder her, she's my mate!" The King yelled, forcing himself on his feet. "You and Alaisa are mates, Eoran, would you be fine if one of the others tried to murder her?" He yelled. "Would you? Then why is it different? She is a demon, yes, but so fucking what? She's my mate, and she's your Queen."
"Not for too long, no, she isn't," Alaisa Ravenhorn barked.
"Is that a baby?" Maeve Wintermere purred, viciousness tainting her face.
"Touch her, and you will die," the Queen yelled at her.
"Oh?" All of them shared a vicious look.
"Did you breed a demon, Mar-Nevek?" The Von Hyden mocked with disgust.
"Let us take a look at that little monster," Rune Blackstrand purred.
"We can't let a spawn of those two alive," Eoran Hindergrass hissed.
Milo Natheridge grinned psychotically, "No, we cannot!"
"She is my daughter," Bianca's mom yelled, "and you ain't getting close to her."
"How dare you threaten to kill my baby?" Bianca's dad yelled.
"Well, we can't let a traitor's child alive," Bernard Whitfield pointed.
"You are all sick," the King yelled, "how can you threaten a baby?"
