"We?" Arlen asked, pointing at himself.
"Yeah, you," I said, nodding.
"We were dispatched by the association to check the situation after an explosion was reported. They wanted us to assess the condition of the team they had sent earlier when someone claimed an unknown monster had attacked," he explained in a mysterious tone.
"Is that so..." I muttered softly, pondering why the association had only sent some A-rank hunters for such a serious matter.
"Looking at how quiet this place is, I think they misreported," he said, nodding as if agreeing with himself.
"Misreported? The nerve of them! We had nearly died killing that monster, and they were just brushing it off as a mistake," I thought A nerve throbbed in my temple.
"The S-rank monster was very real. I saw it with my own eyes," I said, my tone sharp as I tried to gain their attention.
"What?! Where is it now? Are all the hunters still fighting?" he asked, leaning forward anxiously.
