Weapon Summoners- A person who has the ability to turn their mana into a weapon.
Not many people in this world have mana because of the corruption caused by the Vorthars.
And the Vorthars? Many years ago humanity's technology managed to take a significant leap as they tried to explore the galaxy.
With a ship of the worlds smartest and experienced scientists they documented new found species. This would spark humanity's curiosity of exploring the galaxy.
Because of this many sought fame for this new discovery of alien species, they would harvest them and eventually when they got bored of harvesting data from their body they would display them in public for entertainment.
Humanity only managed to capture two different types of aliens.
The Vorthars and the Aelythians.
The Vorthars hell bent on their revenge managed to escape containment and would attack their captors which turned them into something horrifying against humanity.
The Vorthars invaded the human body and would control them while they were still conscious.
The Vorthars forced the humans to kill each other and as time passed, they made humans eat other. This horrified humanity as the Vorthars used humans to evolve and grow.
And after many years, the first Varthar evolved into something humanity couldn't comprehend, a Hive mind that controlled lesser Varthars.
And for the Aelythians?
They were cooperative with humanity with their studies and with a strong bond with a certain researcher, they came to an agreement.
The Aelythians have intergeated into human civilization as they evolved with the help of humans. And with a bond between the researcher and a Aelythian, they both created gene mutation that would help humanity. Fight back.
They created a gene that would allow humans to gather a special energy in their cells that would now be called Manaclasts.
Depending on the number of Manaclasts would determine their power and potential.
Humanity and Aelythians used Manaclasts to fight against the Varthars and the Varthars would use evolution to change their bodies into deadly weapons attacking in hordes.
With the world being in constant war, they managed to create a system where they would train the new generation of Weapon summoners to defend humanity and Aelythians who wish to live in peace away from war.
Humanity managed to retake 25% of Aetheral back while the remaining 65% belong to the Varthars.
Sacrifices were made to retake the land that were once lost. In this battle, humans and Aelythians fought side by side and would therefore strengthen the bonds between themselves.
Lost technology were recovered, even if we can't go to space to escape the Varthars that lost technology was to help humans and Aelythians survive against the Varthars.
The people who would protect Humans and Aelythians would be given a title, Celestrains. Guards and protectors of the wall to keep Varthars away.
Then you have The Reclaimers who would venture beyond the walls and fight against the Varthars to reclaim lost land.
And finally you have Shardweavers, Scientist and researchers of this profession would help create and enhance weapons for weapon summoners and create armor against the Varthars.
As for how weapon summoners came to be? After many years of life and death battles humanity and Aelythians alike would have their Manaclasts evolve.
Research done by Dr. Rosenbell would confirm that the stress from battles and the bonding of the Manaclasts with the body would create a perfect symbiotic relationship and would evolve into a weapon by intense emotion like anger, sadness or the need to protect.
In order to become a weapon summoner, one must be able to master their body, then their emotions and finally their Manaclasts.
With a new generation, the Empire would create a academy to train them from a yoimg age with a 10% chance of creating weapon summoners because even with enough mana many couldn't master their emotions or their body.
Because of this the amount of people with mana would decrease in time after generations creating less weapon summoners and this would put a stop in reclaiming land.
And it didn't stop there as many kingdoms would wage war against each other for resource once they realize the decrease in weapon summoners.
After 23 years of war only one kingdom emerge victorious as they Crowned themselves as an Empire.
But this also took a toll on the number of weapon summoners as they dwindled significantly to protect the empire.
At this point, We lost 15% of land because the Varthars took advantage and we only have 20% land left with resource dwindling by the year with only 10 years of resource left.
the Aetrian Empire ruled by a Aelythian who crowned herself Empress used her power to create an academy to create Weapon Summoners once more.
" Okay, I've read enough." A woman placed the paper down as she looked at the young teenager in front of her.
" Clearly you passed the Writing exam, and with the other subjects that puts you in a high ranking class." The woman explained as she stared at the young teenager.
" Really? What class will I be in?" The young man asked folding his arms.
" That is to be determined when you awaken, now let's finish up this interview."
The young man nodded as he watched the inspector took out a file.
" Aren Drayth, 17 years old. Son of Duke Drayth and Madam…" The Inspector narrowed her eyes at the folder before glancing at the young man before continuing.
" Madam Drayth. Five siblings and currently lives alone in a apartment with a part time job in a cafe. Considered a genius as your able to skip a few grades from elementary to middle school then to high school but you dropped out…." The inspector stopped as she looked up to Aren.
" May I ask what your history by the time you finished middle school to now?" She questioned.
" I was training." He replied.
" And yet you never awakened your Mana Weapon?"
" Actually I could feel it coming I just need some ti-" before Aren could finish the inspector stopped him.
" Aren… it's clear you can't summon your weapon. No matter how smart you are you'll only be able to apply to be a Shardweaver."
" The entrance exam has finished and only 108 managed to be accepted, so tell me… are going to be a shardweaver? Or be like the rest and fail?"
Aren clenched his fist in anger before controlling himself with his last bit of reasoning.
After controlling his emotion, Aren stood up and was about to leave when the teacher spoke again.
" The academy has no use for loser who can't use their Manaclasts, exactly why your family abandoned you."
Aren paused at the door before taking a deep breath and exited the room.
Aren walked to the entrance of the Academy where he saw people his age smiling at being accepted.
Taking one last look at the academy, he felt his dreams shatter. The hopes of making friends and going on adventures were crushed.
