Chapter 1 - chapter 1

Roxanne breathed into her palms in an attempt to warm up her hands as he walked down the quite streets of Pori. The streets were usually empty by 7:00pm in Henawuna. It was 8:30 pm and Roxanne was headed to her favorite Café, Café D'exellent. It was autumn and her purple jacket and scarf weren't helping much. The streets were quiet and only the rustling of leaves and her footsteps could be heard. Since Rox (Roxanne) turned 17, her brothers, Rashad and Armas, watched over her as if she were a kid. She was however still able to slip out and visit Café D'exellent. Amazing was an understatement for the place. It had everything one could dream of and at the moment, all Rox could think of was the warm chocolate that place had to offer her.

She looked ahead and saw it's bright yellow lights.

"Finally," she breathed.

She felt a gush of freezing cold wind and pulled her jacket tighter.

Roxanne sighed as soon as the comforting warmth of the café welcomed her, leaving behind the cruel cold of the Autumn night.

As soon as she sat down, Roy, one if the Waiters, raised his thumb to show that her usual was coming up.

Rox looked around. Yesterday, she was here but there seemed to be changes already. The golden designs on the ceiling seemed to be more and the spiral lines between them seemed to glow in the dark.

Rox took a sip of the hot chocolate and leaned back, closing her eyes and appreciating its warmth.

She frowned when she heard the door crack open and couple of gangster looking men barged in, shouting orders at the few people around her to leave. Cuz it definately wasn't her. They were about half a dozen, wearing Jean's with crazy designs on the knees and chains all over them. Some had cigarattes while others had guns and knives at the side of their pants. The few people in there fled for their lives. Scrambling into the floor and tripping over chairs here and there, Leaving the waiters who had no chance of escape standing there shaking.

Their gaze landed on Roxanne who quietly sat there minding her own business.

"Hey!" one of the men shouted walking to her.

She raised her gaze from her mug and looked him in the eye.

"Rox," they stepped back, bowing, "our apologies,"

Rox placed her mug carefully on the table, sighed and sat on the chair with her face facing the back of the chair.

She pulled off her hood revealing a grin on her face. She made fanning gestures with her hands before pulling her sleeves up and her zipper down, unveiling colourful tattoos on her arms up around the side of her neck and earing holes lining up her ear with a silver ring on the side of her bottom lip. She stretched.

"Can I have my chocolate in peace? For once?" She said.

They heard a chuckle and they all turned in the direction of the chuckle.

"You real sneaky, aren't ya?" Armas said pulling a chair, "princess of the bangtan mafia."

He pulled a tooth pick, " The Anaconda won't miss a chance to shred u into pieces and u r making their work very easy,"

"They will only find me because, u keep on making yourself so noticable when you are around me," Roxanne said.

"Rashad is here too," Armas smiled, "try escaping from him,"

Rox looked up and saw their older brother dressed like he just came from war.

"Why so many daggers?" She asked him.

Rashad chuckled and cracked his neck showing a long scar from behind his left ear, down his chest.

"Might've had to escort a couple of cockroaches to the gates of hell," replied Rashad.

"Get up and let's go home," he said to her.

She looked at him then picked up her mug,

"I'm not done with my hot chocolate,"

"There is whole Café at home just for you," Armas said standing up, "Let's go."

"You guys are coming from whatever work u went to do," she said without looking up, "proceed peacefully and let me have my peace. My chocolate is getting cold. You even scared the people away."

"Your tattoos would've done just that," Armas said, "They weren't even supposed to be out at this time. Now come before I forcefully kidnap u."

Rox looked at Rashad who was just watching them with that silently piercing gaze of his.

"Rashad's definitely not gonna object so..." Armas added with a slow shrug.

Rox sighed and placed her mug back on the Table. Pulling her sleeves and zipper to her chin, she stood up.

"Its just 9:pm," she said moving to the door. One of the men threw keys at her. She grabbed them and pulled the doors open, walking out of the place.

It was colder than it was earlier. She inserted the key into her red Yamaha R7 and sat on it.

"See you guys at home," she said putting on her helmet.

"Don't kill yourself," Armas said grinning at the frown on Roxanne's face.

Rox started down the road with some of their men behind her. She was one careless rider. She couldn't blame herself when her brothers did every form of driving carelessly. The cold wind burned her face forcing her to pull her scarf up half her face.

The ANACONDA, another Mafia in Henawuna who weren't in very good terms with them because of their success in the dark world.

If they got a chance with her right now, they would make sure to torture her and let her brothers hear every bit of it. Before giving her a slow and painful death just to get to them. At least that's what they said they would do. Her brothers definitely feared for her but C'mon, she wasn't so small anymore.

The gate of their Mansion appeared in front of her. It opened right before she got there. As soon as she got the bike to the garage, she made her way inside, up the stairs and straight to bed.
