Behind, the Court Officials looked over the group, some had their cultivation fluctuating while others were making notes.
The Military officials looked war ready, and the Cultivators had excitement etched on their faces.

The lands connected.
Tang Gao could see a large wall on the other side, with an army standing outside. But the moment it appeared he was slightly stunned.
''Is this it?''
Standing on the other side, there were less than 100 soldiers and 10 cultivators! The strongest was only a Junior Warrior!

Tang Gao was amazed. He had almost forgotten that other lords' only chances to grow was through invasions.
On the other side, a Young and scrawny Lord was rubbing his hands together with excitement.
He was called Yorua, not a human race but a mixed breed of goblin and orc.
''Haha I have a Junior Warrior! Few Starting Lords can actually compete with me. Jiejiejie''
Yorua was incredibly confident. Amongst his tribe, out of the hundred new Lords this year he is the strongest one! So he didn't believe that anyone could compete with his terrifying strength.
But his confident look quickly turned to shock.
Because he saw that ten people walked out.
''Ten Peak Apprentices?!''
His voice cracked faintly. However it didn't stop there, a Junior Warrior followed behind them!
''Shit shit shit! Kill them!''
Instantly the hundred soldiers charged forward, together with the cultivators and attacked the Apprentice Warrior. Whereas the Junior Warriors naturally fought.
However to Yorua's dismay the Peak Apprentice Warriors had terrifying combat power.
One, an ordinary looking young girl casually walked forward. But with every step a flower would grow out of the ground. As the soldiers got close the flower snapped closed around their bodies.
Looking at the legs of his subordinates falling to the ground, Yorua trembled.
He saw one of his Apprentice Warriors clash against one of the enemies. However in a single flash of light the dagger in the opponent's hand pierced his flesh.
''No! I have to go and fight!''
Yorua panicked. The only chance he had, his Junior Warrior, was engaged in a tough battle with the enemy.
Helplessly he could only pick up his sword and begin to run out. After all he is a Junior Warrior as well.
But before he could reach the battlefield a figure appeared in front of him.
''Your opponent is me.''
Yorua was stunned and looked forward. Only to see a tanned man dressed in an orange sash.
''Deacon Arhat is at your service. Now please kindly die.''
The Arhat didn't hesitate, the strength of a peak Junior Warrior burst out and rushed forward!
'Boom!'
Behind him a huge war elephant reared its trunk sending a horn-like sound into the air!
His fist smashed against Yorua's chest, as his entire stomach indented and his bones shattered.
In a second punch Yorua's head was shattered into pieces.
''Tsk too weak.''
Tang Gao watched this with him mind. His real body has not appeared since the start of the fight. A faint smile on his face. He didn't expect his opponent to be so weak.
In fact Yorua isn't too weak, Tang Gao just compared him to the Protagonist, and the Few geniuses in the city.
But if you think about it, only the descendants of the four major families would have this strength at the moment.
Compared to the tens of thousands of students that became lords it is an abysmal amount.
Across bluestar only this strength could join the University Competition, which is a few million out of hundreds of millions!

Typically Lords are incredibly strong due to the reincarnation opportunities. They can practise all sorts of techniques and can develop incredible cultivation.

In the end, only ten Apprentice geniuses took action and the Junior Warrior was recruited by Voltaris. And this was just to test the combat power of the Geniuses.
And it definitely didn't disappoint Tang Gao.
