Elara sat back down in the office, her arms crossed tightly over her chest, refusing to look at Amara. She was still fuming, but this time it wasn't just about the random girl who'd tried to flirt with Amara. It was also about Amara herself. How could she have stood there, letting that happen? Sure, she didn't really know what was going on in Amara's head, but that didn't stop her from feeling betrayed.
Amara, on the other hand, seemed annoyingly unbothered by the whole thing. She slid back into her chair, picked up a script, and acted as if everything was perfectly fine. It made Elara want to throw something.
"Are you seriously just going to pretend nothing happened?" Elara snapped, finally breaking the silence.
Amara blinked at her, looking genuinely confused. "What do you mean?"
Elara's nostrils flared. "You know exactly what I mean. That whole… that scene back there! You didn't even push her away!"
