Elara was still rubbing the sleep out of her eyes when she took the first sip of coffee. The rich, dark brew worked its magic, slowly pulling her from the grogginess that had settled in after her night of overthinking. She'd stayed up way too late, tossing and turning, her mind refusing to let go of one person: Amara.
Ugh, why am I even thinking about her? Elara shook her head, trying to snap herself out of it. Amara was supposed to be this ruthless, scheming, media heiress who was all about control, power, and making people's lives miserable.
