The set was abuzz with the energy of a big scene. Today was the day Isolde, or rather Elara in the guise of Isolde, would first meet Captain Rowan. Amara, dressed in her knight's armor, stood off to the side, her helmet tucked under one arm, mentally preparing herself to play the stoic, battle-hardened knight once more. Or trying to, anyway. Because a good 50 percent of her brain seemed to be occupied with the fact that Elara, standing just a few feet away, was decked out in a hilariously obvious "man" disguise.
Elara had a fake beard glued on, a comically oversized cloak that threatened to trip her at every step, and a voice that kept cracking whenever she tried to sound "manly." It was adorable, honestly. And completely unconvincing.
