Amara didn't exactly "do" Halloween. The holiday felt unnecessary a bizarre mix of costumes, sweets, and vaguely medieval horror decor. Still, she'd somehow let Elara drag her to a Halloween party hosted by Lorenzo, who insisted that the best way to bond as castmates was to throw a "little" celebration in the "spooky" rented mansion they'd been using for filming.
"'Little' and 'spooky,' he says. I'm pretty sure I saw smoke machines outside, and there's an entire banquet table loaded with fake eyeballs and cobwebs," Amara muttered as they walked through the front doors, Elara looking around with a sense of wonder while Amara wore a look that might as well have been allergic.
"This place is perfect!" Elara grinned, her eyes lighting up as they took in the dim lighting and gaudy decorations. "Can you try to have fun, just once? I know 'fun' isn't in your vocabulary, but think of this as an acting exercise."
