Amara wasn't about to drift back off, not with Elara sitting so close, her fingers warm against Amara's hand. The light in her eyes softened, her expression a mix of relief and something that made Amara's heart do a strange, exhilarating flip. She couldn't help herself. Her lips curved in a smirk as she leaned a little closer, just close enough to feel Elara's breath mingle with hers.
"You know," she murmured, voice low, "all this fussing over me are you sure you're not just using my injury as an excuse to stay this close?"
Elara gave her an exasperated look, but there was no hiding the blush rising in her cheeks. "Excuse me? I wouldn't need an injury to get close to you."
Amara raised an eyebrow, her smirk widening. "Oh? Bold words, Miss Actress. I think that means you owe me a little demonstration."
