Elara sat stiffly, the script for Love Under the Moonlight clutched in her hands, her nerves buzzing as she glanced at the rest of the cast. Everyone seemed calm, chatting among themselves or flipping through the pages of the script. Amara, on the other hand, looked completely unbothered, lounging in her chair like she had done this a million times before.
Which, of course, she hadn't.
Elara still couldn't wrap her head around it. A few weeks ago, Amara had never shown the slightest interest in acting. Sure, she was charismatic and had a presence that could fill a room, but acting? That had never been part of the plan. And yet, here they were, about to read through the script for a major film, and Amara was supposed to play the male lead, Rowan.
What was even weirder was how confident Amara seemed. There wasn't a hint of nervousness on her face. In fact, she looked… excited?
Elara narrowed her eyes. Something was off.
