Raymond's phone slipped from his grasp, hitting the pavement with a dull thud. His eyes widened in shock.
"That's not the issue," Rachel whispered urgently," Natalie wants to terminate the pregnancy."
Raymond's expression darkened, concern etched on his face. "Where is she?" he demanded.
Rachel hesitated, glancing nervously around before pointing across the road. "She's at the clinic...waiting for me."

Natalie stepped from the gynecologist's office, her breath escaping in frustration. She nibbled her lip, perplexed by her inability to discuss abortion options with the doctor. Perhaps it was because of the shame and uncertainty that swirled in her.
She scanned the waiting room, her lips purse "Where is Rachel?" she muttered, irritation rising. "She promised to be here, to support me, not abandon me."
