Sebastian's voice wavered, his eyes locked onto Charlotte's retracting figure, leaving the hall.
He hesitated, almost stopping mid-song, but his quick thinking kicked in.
"Greg," he called out, his voice booming through the mic.
Raymond's father turned, a hint of surprise on his face.
"Why don't you be the man and come sing the remaining verse?" Sebastian teased, a mischievous glint in his eye.
Greg raised his hands, declining, but Sebastian didn't stop.
"C'mon guys, let's clap for Greg!" he shouted, clapping his hands enthusiastically.
The crowd joined in, cheering and whistling.
Raymond stood up, encouraging his father.
"Go, Dad!" he shouted.
Greg smiled, reluctantly rising from his seat.
He climbed the stage, taking the mic from Sebastian.
Sebastian tapped him on the shoulder and stepped back.
Greg cleared his throat and began to sing.
Meanwhile, Sebastian subtly slipped out of the stage.
