"You finally unblocked me," Rachel stated, her voice breaking the minute-long silence.
Raymond exhaled deeply, trying to read the tone beneath her words. "Charlotte told me you wanted to apologize for what happened at Carat Carven,"
"Yeah, that's why I called," Rachel replied. "Can you meet me at the place I just texted you? I'd like to talk."
As soon as Rachel finished speaking, Raymond's phone buzzed with an incoming message. He pulled the phone away from his ear to glance at the screen. The message read: "Top Haven street."
"Top Haven?" Raymond repeated, his brow furrowed in confusion. Top Haven was notorious for being a romantic hotspot, a place couples frequented. "Why this place of all places?" he wondered.
He brought the phone back to his ear, "Hey, Rachel, you can just apologize over the phone. I am—" But before he could finish, the line went dead, leaving Raymond's words hanging.
