Raymond's eyes widened in surprise. "What do you mean, invite another girl?"
Sebastian nodded, a sly glint in his eye. "It's an old trick that always works."
With a deep sigh, he released his grip on the railing and turned to leave. "I need to go now."
Raymond's gaze snapped back to attention. "Wait, now? The celebration's just getting started..."
Sebastian patted Raymond's shoulder as he walked past him. "You guys can have fun without me."
Raymond trailed behind him, protesting, "A birthday party without the birthday boy? That's unheard of!"
As Sebastian entered inside the music-filled room, Raymond watched him , walked to a lady, whispering to her.
"Oh shit." He muttered under his breath, bringing out his phone to call Charlotte, but the line wasn't going through.
"Shit, shit, shit." Raymond exclaimed, shaking the phone as if that would help.
