Gu Xiannian acted coyly, trying to persuade Chi Yu and Qi Chao to take him along to the movies, only to have his true intentions exposed by Qiao Yu.

Gu Xiannian instantly caved and tried to butter her up. "Of course not, Mom. I'm a good boy, remember?"
Chi Yu ruffled Gu Xiannian's drooping head affectionately. "Be good, and I'll bring you something delicious when I get back."
"Really?" Gu Xiannian sprang to life, energized by the promise.
"When have I ever lied to you?" Chi Yu replied, taking Qi Chao by the wrist and addressing Qiao Yu. "Mom, we're heading out now."
