Tearing off the mask?
Heh, Chi He wanted to laugh.
His relationship with Wen Rushuang had always been a farce—what mask was there to tear?
"I have a flight to catch. I don't have time for your little charades."
With that, Chi He turned and walked away.
Wen Rushuang, in her sharp stilettos, chased him outside the restaurant, spreading her arms wide to block his path.
She glared at him with vicious determination. "I'm handling business for your second uncle. He values me highly and has reserved a significant position for me in the company. Only I can save you now."
Chi He stared at her, locking his gaze.
Under his scrutiny, Wen Rushuang belatedly realized how undignified she looked. Straightening her posture and adjusting her expression, she asked him with a sardonic smile, "How about it? Let's go back and have a meal. We can talk things over slowly."
