The most compelling evidence, however, were the two cats, named Juliet and Romeo.
Several more rational fans sought clarification from Ning Jin about the authenticity of these claims, while the more extreme followers didn't even bother asking.
They bombarded her with direct messages, calling her a pretentious fraud and a scheming "green tea girl."
But the situation didn't stop there. Ning Jin's classmates were also gossiping about her, each voice louder than the last.
"I'm telling you, nothing irritates me more than a green tea girl. The sight of one makes me want to beat them up."
"Oh, you're far too kind. You've got one right in front of you."
