For the first time, Ning Jin shyly covered her face with a giggle, hiding behind Jin Yao. Song Cheng and Jiang Wang exchanged a subtle glance but remained silent.
The second time, Ning Jin lost at Truth or Dare and was tasked with downing a whole bottle of milk beer. She turned to Jin Yao with a coquettish plea for help, as if nothing was amiss.
By the third time, the gathering of childhood friends was nearing its end. Some were quietly chatting, while others put on their coats, preparing to leave.
Ning Jin rested her head on Jin Yao's shoulder and, in a voice loud enough for all to hear, complained about feeling cold. Without hesitation, Jin Yao removed his jacket, draped it over her shoulders, and softly asked, "Is that better?"
