Chapter 82: Deception
Chi Yu hadn't slept well last night, so she spent the entire morning dozing off on her desk.
The teachers, fully aware of her background, turned a blind eye to her disregard for decorum, as if her reckless behavior was invisible to them.
At 11:30, the dismissal bell rang, and the class buzzed with activity as students rushed out.
Chi Yu rubbed her eyes and sat in a daze until she heard someone calling her from outside.
"Ah Yu, hurry up! Let's head to the cafeteria!" Xie Zi was waving eagerly from the classroom door.
Chi Yu stood up and left her seat, unaware that someone was approaching from behind.
Jiang Wang asked what they should eat later, while Jin Yao suggested beef, "The braised beef brisket from the first cafeteria is amazing, especially with wide noodles, it's just... careful!"
Jin Yao quickly caught Chi Yu by the waist—had he been a second slower, she would have collided with him.
