Chapter 18 - I Love You So Much

As Alex's phone buzzed, it broke the intense moment between them. He glanced at the screen and saw it was a call from Daniel. Turning his gaze back to Sophia, whose face was flushed with a deep blush, he noticed how she was nervously staring at the floor, avoiding his eyes.

With a soft smile, he asked her, "It's Daniel. Would you like to talk to him right now?"

Sophia, still overwhelmed by the recent events, shook her head without looking up. Amused by her bashfulness, Alex couldn't resist leaning in once more, placing a few gentle kisses on her cheeks and forehead, his affection growing with each touch. "Go sit on the sofa," he instructed her softly, "I'll take this call and be with you in a moment."

Sophia nodded, finally meeting his eyes briefly before moving to the sofa as Alex answered the call, his thoughts still lingering on the moment they had just shared.

As Alex picked up Daniel's call, a loud and familiar voice filled the cabin. "Hey brother, where were you busy today?"

"What do you mean?" Alex asked, a hint of curiosity in his tone.

Daniel chuckled. "Brother, you took such a long time to pick up my call. This never happens before."

Alex rolled his eyes and said, "Oh! Just shut up about all this nonsense and tell me, how are you doing over there? Are you facing any problems?"

"Relax, brother," Daniel replied, his voice reassuring. "I'm completely fine here. The current situation in the market is also under our control. You don't need to worry about me. I actually called to check on you."

Sophia, who was quietly sitting on the sofa, listened to their conversation, a small smile forming on her lips. Despite Daniel's maturity and increasing responsibilities, he still had the same warmth and concern that made him her old best friend. Her thoughts were interrupted when she heard her name being mentioned by Daniel, who was now asking about the progress in his brother's relationship with her.

She glanced at Alex, who was now looking directly at her, his face softened by a smile filled with love and emotion. Feeling the intensity of his gaze, Sophia quickly turned her attention to the window, trying to hide the blush creeping up her cheeks.

Alex's smile grew wider, but he was pulled back into the conversation as Daniel's voice grew louder, filled with concern. "Brother, are you there? Why aren't you saying anything? Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, everything's fine here," Alex replied, his voice calm but distracted. "You take care of yourself. I'll join you soon. I'm busy right now, so I'll call you later."

With that, he ended the call, his thoughts already returning to Sophia, who was still avoiding his gaze by looking out the window.

Alex moved toward the sofa, his eyes locked on Sophia with a look that spoke of deep longing and unspoken desires. He sat close to her, gently taking her hands in his, feeling the warmth of her skin against his own. Sophia's heart raced as she met his gaze, the intensity of his emotions reflecting in his dark, brooding eyes.

"You know," Alex began, his voice thick with sincerity, "I've waited so long for this moment, for you. Now that you're here with me, I just want to lose myself in you."

Before Sophia could respond, Alex pulled her into his embrace, his arms wrapping around her with a firm yet tender grip. His lips found hers once more, but this time the kiss was deeper, filled with the passion he had been holding back for so long. The world around them seemed to fade away as they became lost in each other, the connection between them growing stronger with every second.

As their kiss intensified, Alex's hands began to explore her, tracing the curve of her back with a gentle yet deliberate touch. His fingers slipped beneath the fabric of her shirt, caressing the soft skin of her waist, sending shivers down her spine. Sophia gasped softly against his lips, her body responding to his touch in ways she hadn't expected.

He pulled her closer, his hands moving slowly, savoring the feel of her against him. His touch was both possessive and tender, as if he was trying to memorize every inch of her. Sophia could feel the heat between them building, the air around them thick with desire and unspoken words.

Alex's hands continued their journey, sliding up her back and around her sides, his touch gentle yet full of intent. He could feel her heart beating rapidly against his chest, matching the rhythm of his own. As his fingers brushed the edge of her bra, Sophia's breath hitched, the sensation sending a wave of warmth through her.

His lips moved from her mouth, trailing a line of kisses down her neck, each one slow and deliberate, as if he was savoring the taste of her skin. Sophia tilted her head back, giving him more access, her hands gripping his shoulders as she melted into his embrace.

With every touch, every kiss, Alex was telling her without words just how much he needed her, how much he had always needed her. And in that moment, nothing else mattered—just the two of them, wrapped in each other's arms, lost in the intensity of their shared passion.

As Sophia's thoughts became increasingly lost in the heat of the moment, she felt Alex's hands moving with more urgency, exploring the softness of her skin beneath her shirt. Every touch sent electric waves of desire through her, making her believe that they were about to cross a line neither of them had dared to before. But just as the intensity between them reached its peak, Alex suddenly slowed his pace.

With a deep, steadying breath, he gently withdrew his hand from beneath her fabric, his touch lingering for just a moment before pulling away entirely. His kisses softened, becoming tender and slow, as if he was savoring their connection before bringing it to a temporary pause.

He leaned closer to her ear, his warm breath sending shivers down her spine as he whispered, "We'll take things further next time, my love. Right now, we're still in the office."

The sincerity in his voice made Sophia's heart swell with emotion. Even in the midst of their passion, Alex was thinking about her, about them, and the right time for everything. He kissed her again, a gentle, lingering kiss that spoke volumes about his deep affection.

"It's so difficult to part with you," he murmured as he pressed another kiss to her lips, "but we have some meetings to attend right now."

Sophia nodded, her heart still racing but filled with understanding and love. She knew that this wasn't the end of their moment—just a pause. Alex kissed her hand tenderly, holding it between his own as if it was the most precious thing in the world.

"Sophia," he said, his voice filled with emotion, "I love you so much."

His words wrapped around her heart like a warm embrace, and in that moment, Sophia knew that no matter what, they would always find their way back to each other. She smiled softly, feeling cherished and loved, as Alex finally stood, reluctantly preparing to step back into the demands of their workday.
