Chapter 3 - Here comes school

I looked at a girl who was seated on the opposite side of the class. She was short, dark-haired, and she was wearing a black robe, her hair was long and it flowed down to her back, and she had pale white skin.

What is that? I thought referring to a dark shadowy hand that extended right out of her back.

"Why do stare in confusion?" She asked me.

"Uhm, I," I said.

"Do you want to be treated as insignificant, like a spec of dust tossed around in light and darkness continually like it's your dark destiny?" She asked in a gothic voice.

What the heck was that? Who is she, why is she so...

I went on my palms and knees and crawled away.

Thank goodness I'm wearing jeans. I thought as I crawled down the class, in between the first two rows of chairs. Some parts of the second row had no chairs, but it was better than the other two rows where only the gothic girl was on a seat and table.

I got to the second to the last chair, or perhaps it was only like that due to the class' destructive nature.

I hiked up the chair while praying that I would not be hit by one of the chairs flying through the air.

As I got on the seat, I took a bottle of water that was inside the bag and looked around it.

This water is almost expired, I thought, Or is it the bottle? I don't think Water expires. Oh, look (I point at the side of the label showing the quantity) it's 1l, Although I should've known because of how big it is.

I opened the water and used my abilities to coat my body with water.

That's nice protection.

I looked at the rest of the class and saw the reason for the flying chairs.

"Hah, Alan, this one will definitely hit you," Shouted one boy who was on the podium at the front of the class. He was skinny, his face showed that he was Korean, and he was wearing glasses.

"Haha," Another boy said, "I laugh in bad guy, do you seriously think you can take me, the great and powerful Alan down?"

"Oh please," the first boy said, "Just throw your chair."

Okay, this is not gonna end well, I'm a hero in training, so I have to stop them.

As I was about to get up and stop them, a girl came to me, she was wearing a leather jacket, green trousers, orange sunglasses, a purple hat and yellow shoes.

"Heyo," She said, "I'm Ethel, welcome to the class of misfits."

She walked around boldly like a lawyer in court or a lion in their turf.

"Excuse me, are you wearing that like in real life," I asked her.

"Oh," she said, still confidently, "I try not to look at appearances. As my dad usually says; If analyse the physical structure of your enemy in a fight, they might end up outsmarting you."

"Ehat did you say your name was again?" I asked her

"Ethel, you nitwit," She said taking off her hat and glasses.

Wow, I expected to see a beautiful, bold and confident teenage girl, but, this is just disappointing.

She had freckles that made her look weird, her hair was silver, her eyes were golden, but she had little dots of pimples that scattered around her face making it look so disorganised.

With a nod, I replied, "Ah, I see."

Think of her as an AD, they are annoyingly persistent, so I just have to give her what she wants.

"What do you want," I said raising my head.

"I just wanna ask what your name is, and what your powers are."

"It's Wave," I replied.

"Are you always made of water?" She asked me.

I raised my left eyebrow then I realised that I was still coated with water.

"Oh, this is just for protection," I told her, taking the water and putting it back in a bottle.

"From what?" She asked.

I turned my head and have an awkward smile that went all the way to my eyes.

"What do you want?" I said.

"What are your powers," She asked putting her hands under her jaw and bending down and facing me, "I'm an ability geek."

"Ah," I said.

I stared at her with (what I thought was a smolder) my mouth pointing out in a circular form. And biting my cheek.

"So, what," She said.

"What what," I said.

"Are your powers dummy," she asked, "Don't make it look like he's just making this conversation for extra word count."

"I'm sorry, what?" I said, foldingy arms.

She then turned around and sat on my laps, after that, she crossed her legs.

"You're making this hard for me Wave," She said.

"My powers are Aquatikenisos," I replied, peeking over her shoulder.

"Wow," She said, putting her palms on her cheeks and nothing her head, "I once had a friend who had Aquatikenisos, but she left, now I'm all alone except Jackson (She then frowned and glared)"

Well, I can guess why your friend left you...

"You could be my friend," She yelled.

"Nope," I said pushing her off my laps.

"Don't be so violent," she purred.

"I am not your friend," I yelled.

Our eyes met and a gushing wind blew, chairs, and even other students were still flying through the sky.

Ethel's face turned dim, and so did mine.

I should be ready for a fight, although, I don't know what I've done, I'm in a class of potential villains after all, I should expect hot tempers.

Her eyes met mine, and the rest of the world seed to be blank, noone else existed throughout that time.

She looks dangerous, like she could attack at any time, I've fought bears when I was younger, I know a dangerous predator when I see one, but wait, it seems more like fabricated anger, like she's hiding her true...

"Bug!" She yelled, picking up a chair.

Wha... a chair, a chair? Why is it flying at me, what the heck is going...

Bam...

The chair hit me and I was flung to the door of the class, luckily, I found a way to rest my back on the wall. My hearing and sight was not clear.

"Shoot, that hurt," I muttered, "But I have a healing factor, a very slow and annoying one, But in the mean time, I could just use water to coat my wounds."

I looked at the class and saw that it was already arranged, then by left, I saw a short man at the doorway, holding a cane, his hair was grey, showing that he must have been very old, and he was short, he was wearing a suit.

A teacher, I thought.

My hearing suddenly went back to normal and then I heard him saying.

"I'll use this one as an example," he said.
