"Alex, have you ever felt fear?"
The strange book in Nicodemus's raised hand fluttered suddenly as dark, ominous black shadows spread out from it into the surroundings. The black mist of his outfit rippled again and surged, spreading outward into the vicinity.
Suddenly the dark, empty gaze in Nicodemus's eyes deepened and seemed to devour light. Two faint flicker of red illuminated at their very depths.

Nicodemus's words resounded deeply in the minds and hearts of Alex and the others and Alexander froze.
The darkness surged forward suddenly like a tide for Alex and he felt his world suddenly flip over and contort.
The last thing Alexander registered as the darkness rushed and devoured his vision were a pair of sinister glowing reddish orange eyes and a bloodcurdling whisper like a raspy sneer.
Then his body trembled from head to toe like he was dazed.
