Chapter 30 - Games Day 4

Days 4,

On the fourth day, fatigue had settled in among the group, thanks to a late-night Thai drama binge-watching session the previous night. Sebastian and Dewi, having returned home, had stumbled upon Ajeng immersed in the popular drama, leading them to join in the late night viewing. As a result, they ended up staying awake until 3 a.m., then managing to wake up at 5 a.m. to take quick showers before starting their day. The lack of sleep and early wake-up had left them feeling utterly exhausted.

They walked like zombies, truly terrifying. Even students who passed by were afraid because of their zombie-walking.

„that's zombie, be carefull„

Today's matches included football, the running race finals, swimming, estafet/relay, and a brisk run. Sebastian, Rian, Rafa, Fitri, and Bruno were the players participating in these events. Bruno had lost the first round of the 200-meter sprint, but due to Class leader regulations, he was required to take part in the relay race, as the number of participants had dwindled due to many students skipping school.

The schedule for today's matches was tightly packed, kicking off with football at 8:00 a.m. The running race finals were scheduled to start an hour later at 9:00 a.m, same as the estafet/relay was set to begin at the same time, i.e., 9:00 a.m., followed by swimming at 1:00 p.m.and the brisk run would conclude the day's events at 4:00 p.m., with no matches taking place in the evening.

As Sebastian, Dewi, and Ajeng settled into the audience seats, they got ready to watch Rian and Rafa compete in the final dash. Sebastian, however, appeared incredibly tired, his eyelids heavy and struggling to stay open. In need of rest, he turned to Dewi and politely requested permission to lay his head on her lap, seeking a comfortable spot to take a quick nap.

" can i sleep on it?" he ask with sleepy eyes

" sure, you need more sleep for next, you must swimming in this day, right? "

Without further ado, he fell asleep comfortably on her laps.

'you look like a baby'

Seeing Sebastian sleeping, Ajeng then took a picture of his face which he thought was cute and adorable. After taking a picture, he then showed it to Dewi.

Seeing Sebastian peacefully asleep, Ajeng couldn't resist the temptation to capture a picture of his adorable and carefree expression. She discreetly took out her phone and snapped a picture, clearly amused by the sight. Ajeng then turned to Dewi, a sly smile on her face as she showed her the captured image. She chuckled softly, whispering, "Look at him, he looks so cute when he sleeps, doesn't he? I had to capture it for memories, hehe"

Ajeng continued to observe Sebastian, still asleep on Dewi's lap, a tender smile on her face. She couldn't help but find the sight endearing, and her thoughts wandered to how different he was when he was asleep versus when he was awake.

While Dewi continued to gently keep watch over Sebastian, she couldn't help but feel a pang of warmth and affection seeing his peaceful sleeping form.

Few minutes later, they then looking the picture that she capture,

" so cool, that look like a brat but cute brat, haha"

" look at his nose, it's big in here, haha"

They still soothe him even though he is fast asleep like an unconscious person.

A few moments later, a notification sound sounded, indicating that the race was about to start. They were really excited about this 100-meter run. Who will win the match this time, Rian or Rafa or probably others.

With the match about to begin, Rian and Rafa exuded an air of excitement and determination. Both of them were eager to clinch the highest rank in the competition, showing their competitive spirit. At the count of "one, two, three," the race was set to commence, the tension in the air palpable as the participants readied themselves to dash toward the finish line.

The whistle signalling the start of the race pierced through the air, and the runners burst into motion. Rian and Rafa sprinted forward, their muscles tense and their focus sharp as they fought to gain an advantage over one another. The rhythmic pounding of their sneakers against the ground echoed loudly, drowning out the cheers from the spectators.

The race was a display of raw power and speed, as Rian and Rafa pushed themselves to their limits, running as fast as they could. Their breath came in short, quick bursts, and their eyes were fixed on the finish line ahead, each determined to reach it before the other. They could feel their hearts thumping wildly in their chests, the adrenaline coursing through their veins, fueling them to go faster, to run harder.

As the race progressed, Rafa had been overtaken by another competitor and ended up in third place, but hadn't yet crossed the finish line. Meanwhile, Rian remained in the lead, still running ahead of everyone else. The competition between the contestants continued to heat up, each runner determined to claim the top spot.

Rian kept pushing himself, his legs pumping quickly and forcefully with every stride. His breathing was getting ragged, but he ignored the discomfort and focused solely on crossing the finish line first. He could see the end of the race just ahead and pushed even harder, his determination and will to win driving him forward with unwavering intensity.

As the race concluded, Rian was declared the winner with a time of 9.82 seconds. Xu Yinzî was close behind in second place, finishing with a time of 10.85 seconds. Meanwhile, Rafa came in third place, his time recorded as 10.96 seconds.

The result was announced amidst applause and cheers from the crowd, with Rian's victory marking a significant accomplishment amid the intense competition.

The spectators erupted in applause, celebrating Rian's impressive victory. His friends and loved ones who had been watching from the sidelines were ecstatic, their cheers of joy and approval filling the air. Rian, still breathing heavily from the race, couldn't help but feel a rush of elation as he was presented with his medal and a bouquet of flowers. He had pushed himself to the limit and achieved the ultimate prize - first place.

Seeing the victory, Dewi desperately wanted to go there but Sebastian was still asleep.

" i go there first, ya yu!" while leaving them

" ehhh....."

Rian, Rafa, Ajeng and Xu made their way toward where Dewi was sitting, but to their surprise, they found her in a bit of a predicament due to the fact that Sebastian was still fast asleep on her lap. The group exchanged amused glances, taking in the scene before them, with Sebastian comfortably snoozing away like a contented child, blissfully unaware of the world around him.

" ehh, bas still don't wake up yet? I guess it's been long time" Ajeng said

" i know, but i don't know how to wake him up" Dewi feel bad

Rian, without a second thought, swiftly scooped up Sebastian and cradled him in his arms as if he were a baby. The sight of Sebastian, so peaceful and innocent in his sleep, brought a smile to Rian's face.

Xu, seeing the opportunity for banter, teased Rian with a comment about Sebastian's cuteness,

" he's really cute... How can you get that boy, huh..." Xu teasing Rian

Rian, caught off guard, blushed in response, unable to come up with an answer. He then brought him to his dorm.

" wait for mee..." Xu scream when he left behind

Dewi, Ajeng & Rafa just laughing without knowing what he gonna do.
