"Boom boom boom!"

Richard, who was sleeping soundly, was awakened by a knock on the door. The good thing about him is that he has a big heart and can fall asleep as soon as he wants in a strange place.

Rubbing his sleepy eyes, Richard got up and opened the door.

I saw a young and beautiful girl standing there at the door. Her slender figure could not be concealed by the standard grey robe she was wearing. She had a pretty face and her slightly naturally curly golden hair fell above her shoulders, making her look capable and refreshing.

"Hello, are you Richard Clavier? I'm Melo Norris, I came here a year earlier than you, a first-level wizard apprentice and a disciple of Master Ceres.

My tutor told me this morning to take you to complete a series of admission procedures."

After saying this, she lifted the waist of her robe slightly and performed a ladylike salute.

Richard was stunned for a long while before he reacted. He quickly touched his chest and returned the knight's salute.

"Yes, I'm Richard, and my mentor has told me so." Although Celes had said before that someone would be sent to take him to handle the formalities, Richard always thought it was a man.

Because in his mind, the dark wizard school must be mostly composed of men, but the first student he saw was actually a beautiful woman, which surprised him very much.

"Then let's go now. Please follow me. The enrollment procedures are not complicated. It's just that the unified enrollment time has passed, so I need to take you there. The last batch of new students arrived more than a month ago."

Meiluo said this while turning her head to look at Richard's reaction.

To be honest, she was actually more surprised by Richard's appearance than Richard was by her, because she knew who her mentor was and that he rarely left the school.

But this time, the instructor suddenly used the special recruitment right that can only be used once a year to squeeze in a new student, which really made her curious, and the gossip fire in her heart was burning.

Although Richard was a little confused about the enthusiasm of his senior sister Meiluo, he thought that it was probably because of Teacher Celes.

But this is also good. Right now he lacks knowledge about the school, and it is always a good thing to have someone who is familiar with the situation by his side.

"Our Ignis School has a history of more than a thousand years, and the move to the silt swamp was decided more than eight hundred years ago by our second dean, the extremely talented wizard David Meier.

Since then, our Ignis School has ushered in its highlight moment."

As they walked, Meiluo told Richard the history of the Ignis School, and Richard kept nodding his head.

"The school's residence is mainly divided into teaching area, dormitory area, living area, mission area and trading area. Usually, the busiest places in the school are the mission area and the trading area."

Basically, it was Meiluo who was talking and Richard who was listening. Occasionally, Richard would ask questions, but most of the questions he asked were related to the school of thought, and he almost never took the initiative to talk.

This made Meiluo feel that she was not accompanying a teenager, but rather accompanying visitors from other schools, and basically did not get any useful information.

After a while, Richard, led by Meiluo, came to a two-story building.

"Excuse me, is Senior Sass here?" Meiluo asked outside the door.

"Hey, it's Meiluo. How come you have time to come here today?" A bald uncle who was also wearing a gray apprentice robe opened the door.

"Senior Sass, today I was asked by Instructor Ceres to bring a new student here for a talent test. Richard, this is Senior Sass, a senior third-level wizard apprentice."

"Hello, Senior Sass!" Richard placed his right hand on his chest and performed a standard knight's salute.

"Hello, the enrollment period for new students has passed. It seems that you are a student specially recruited by Professor Ceres. That's great!" Sass's small eyes revealed shrewdness. After looking Richard up and down, he praised.

"By the way, come in, wait a moment, let's test your mental strength first."

"For the mental power aptitude test, there are three aspects that need to be tested. The first is the natural total amount of mental power, the second is the degree of concentration of mental power, and the last is the amplitude of mental power oscillation." Sass introduced as he walked.

Richard nodded continuously as he listened. In comparison, Snofat's test was too crude.

Looking back now, it seems that Snofat didn't even test this on himself.

Richard walked into the room and saw a one-meter-high slender black triangular prism on the table. There were densely engraved horizontal bars on the prism, which should be some kind of scale. There was also silver liquid flowing at the bottom of the prism.

"Richard, hold the scale with both hands, concentrate, and mobilize the mercury and silver as much as possible."

Richard followed what Sass said, held the scale with both hands, and began to concentrate on mobilizing the mercury and silver.

It was easy at first, but as the mercury and silver rose higher and higher like a straight line, Richard found that the difficulty of mobilization increased exponentially.

After a while, beads of sweat appeared on Richard's forehead, and the top of the mercury silver stayed at a position less than 4 on the scale, basically motionless.

"Okay, relax!" Sass was writing something on a piece of paper with a quill pen. Richard glanced at it and saw "Natural total mental power: 3.8".

Richard quietly called up the panel and took a look at the attribute column:

[Attributes]: Strength 2.1, Agility 2.4, Constitution 2.2, Spirit 3.8.

The mental power is indeed 3.8. It seems that the school's testing equipment is still very accurate.

"Now we're going to test the concentration level and oscillation amplitude of your mental power. Hold this hexahedron and concentrate on sensing the inside." Sass handed Richard a transparent cube, the size of a baby's fist, which seemed to be made of some special stone.

Richard concentrated and held his breath, then did as he was told.

The cube emitted a soft light, and then flickered like a beating heart.

"Okay, that's enough, relax!"

Richard opened his eyes, bewildered. So fast? The test was completed in just a few seconds!

Turning his head, he saw Sass writing something on a piece of paper with a quill pen. Richard looked closely and saw Sass writing skillfully:

"Degree of mental concentration: above average."

"Spiritual power shock amplitude: medium to low."

Seeing this, Richard was secretly delighted. He finally got a middle-level evaluation. Although it was lower than middle-level, it was at least middle-level. It seemed that his wizard aptitude was not bad!

"Overall evaluation of mental strength aptitude: lower peak."

Lower peak?

That's still inferior!

Richard was speechless for a moment.

As for talent, the higher the better, and top students are valued no matter where you go.

"The next item is the elemental affinity test. Hold the crystal ball in both hands, close your eyes, concentrate, and mobilize the free energy particles in the air." Sass pointed to the crystal ball on the desk.

This was almost the same test that Stefano had done on Richard before, the only difference was that Richard found that this crystal ball was much larger and there were also scales on the surface.

As time passed, the three colors of black, red and green gradually increased in the crystal ball.

After reaching a threshold, the crystal ball suddenly emitted a dazzling blue light, and the three colors that were originally flowing irregularly in the ball were suddenly solidified into a jelly state with black on top, red in the middle, and green on the bottom.

"Affinity for dark elements is medium, affinity for fire elements is low, and affinity for nature is inferior." Sass whispered, while writing the test results on the paper.

"Your affinity for dark elements is medium, Richard. That's pretty good." Meiluo congratulated with a smile.

"Really? Excuse me, how about your talent, senior sister?" Richard asked suspiciously.

"Well, my talent is very average. My mental aptitude is top-notch, and my affinity for dark elements is also average, just like you." Meiluo said with a smile.

Richard was speechless after hearing this. Having a superior mental strength aptitude is considered an average talent, so what about mine?

"By the way, Richard, do you have any specialties? You can ask Senior Sass to write them down for you. It's always good to have more specialties. The results of the entrance test will be put into the file." Meiluo reminded.

Richard thought about it and realized that he had reached the proficient level in bow and crossbow, which was rare for someone of his age of 13, so he asked, "Does proficiency in bow and crossbow count?"

"Okay! But according to regulations, it needs to be tested." Sass said, but there was no obvious belief in his eyes. After all, the simpler the skill, the more years of accumulation it requires.

The three of them came to the training room nearby. Richard picked up a crossbow, familiarized himself with it a little, and started shooting.

For the fixed target which was only 30 meters away, Richard almost hit the target every time, and hit ten ten-rings in a row.

Immediately, Meiluo and Sass were stunned!

[Discover that the host is using a crossbow. Yes/No, consume energy to gain inspiration for using the crossbow? ]

"No!" Richard silently said no in his mind. He had other plans for the remaining 100 energy points.

When the distance was extended to 50 meters, Richard also scored nine ten-rings and one nine-ring.

Meiluo's eyes sparkled with wonder, and Sass was full of praise.

Soon, Sass made two copies of the completed information. One copy was given to Meilo to take to Teacher Ceres, and the other was scanned with a crystal ball and then placed on a bookshelf for filing.

Finally, Seth brought Richard a set of gray wizard robes, a piece of paper and a small silver key from another room.

"Okay, Junior Richard, your admissions procedures have been completed.

The grey apprentice robe has a cleansing spell and good defense. The paper has the time and location of all the free courses in the past six months. The key has a number corresponding to your dormitory. "Sas said with a smile.

"Thank you, Senior Sass." After taking the three things, Richard followed Meiluo to the dormitory area.

On the way to the dormitory area, Richard asked Meiluo: "Senior, can you tell me briefly about the qualifications of a wizard?"
