"Emily!!" She heard that familiar voice call her name. The security guards stopped and turned to look at who called her name. Emily turned back and saw Jack's promising face looking right at her.
She felt butterflies in her stomach once again after a very long time. "Jack?" She called out his name almost in a whisper. She saw that familiar gleam in his eyes. He looked like he was already crying.
"Jack?" She whispered his name out again in a way only her could hear it. The guards left her hand and left immediately. She stood there not knowing what to do. She didn't know whether to run and hug him or stand and watch him from there.
They stood there staring right into each other's eyes, but she couldn't see clearly because he was far from her. He started coming down the stairs and came to her. It was then she saw her husband.
The husband she married and it was then that it dawned on her that he had regained his memory. "I'm so sorry dear." He begged as he grabbed her hands in his large ones.
Emily was still in shock, trying to recover from what was happening. "How is it possible?" She asked him.
"Come sit with me." He pulled her to sit with him on the couch. "Remember before the surgery, the doctor said I may loose my memory. It was a fifty-fifty assumption." He started. She nodded her head in agreement, telling him to go on.
"After the surgery, I woke up and the first face I saw was Vivian. It was disheartening that I couldn't see your face. I had to start playing along and made her believe that I had lost my memory so I could come back to the house and get back our properties." He explained.
"Oh my God. I've missed you Jack...." Emily coed as she pulled him in for a hug. "I thought I had lost you forever." Her voice cracked as tears formed in her eyes.
"Don't say that dear. I've always been here and I will always be here." He said rubbing her head.
"So what are you going to do now?" Emily asked him using her wrist to wipe off her tears.
"I'm still playing along with her for now. I will get her to sign the property papers and after that, we will return back together. Everyone." He promised as he kissed her forehead.
The sound of a car's horn blew loudly in Emily's ears causing her to spring up from the couch. She started panicking as she looked to check who it was.
"Come on. There's an exit for you. Use the backdoor." He said as he grabbed her hand and took her to the backdoor. They bid each other goodbye before Jack went back inside to meet Vivian.
Emily went back home with excitement bubbling in her. She broke the news to Mrs Blackwood and Jack's brothers, Peter, Ethan and Brian. They were all excited and celebrated.

The sound of birds singing melodiously filled the whole house. The morning sun also rose from the east paving way for day time. Emily rubbed her eyes as she got off from the bed.
Her phone vibrated from the nightstand. "Hello Jack." She answered after picking up.
"How are you doing? And how is everyone?" He asked almost in a whisper.
"We are all doing well. Hope she's not around." Emily asked with worry.
"No.....she's not." He answered. "Look dear, I think she's hiding something big. Last night I eavesdropped on her phone call. She was reporting to someone." Jack explained.
"Did you hear anything strange?" Emily asked him.
"No dear, I didn't." He answered.
"Alright, just lay low for now, it's going to be over very soon." She assured him.
"Of course." He said before hanging up.
EMILY'S POV
That day I had planned to follow Vivian where she was going to. I took a taxi after having breakfast and followed her car. She drove for a very long time. I noticed that we weren't in the city anymore.
Suddenly the car halted at a construction site. The taxi parked behind a wall to avoid being caught. I watched as her driver alighted from the car and opened the back door for her. She looked around before going into the site.
I paid the driver and slowly followed her into the building. As I walked in, I almost lost her until I started hearing sounds. I followed it until someone grabbed me from the back.
His wide palm covering my mouth. I tried yelling out but it proved futile. He swiftly turned me to face him and standing before me was Vivian's bodyguard with a big frown on his face.
I started hearing a loud clap from the other side. I looked around to see who it was until I saw Vivian coming out from a block. "Look who we have here." She said as she came to me. "Why did you follow me?" She asked through clenched teeth as she grabbed my chin and held them very tight.
"St-o-p.....i-t!!!!" I said angrily through my teeth as she firmly held on to my chin.
"Of course I won't." She said. "You know what Emily?" She started as she roughly let go off it. "I have Jack right here in my palm. He is now mine and there's nothing you can do about it." She said.
"Is that what you think?" I asked her as I laughed loudly. "Well, you're mistaken Vivian. Jack's love for me never dies even if we both die, it doesn't die." I told her confidently.
From the red blush on her cheeks, I could tell that she was furious. She folded her hands in a fist trying to hold her anger. "Just give up now before you regret later." I added.
Before I could finish what I was saying, she landed a heavy slap on my cheeks. I staggered backwards as I held my red cheeks. "Leave us." She ordered her guard who left us immediately.
I raised my head only to see her folding her sleeves. "What----------are you trying to do?" I asked her with confusion.
"I am going to end this once and for all now." She said as she rushed to me and grabbed my hair and dragged me to the top of the building. I fought back, but her grip on my hair was way strong. "I will say your last goodbye to Jack for you." She said as she was about to throw me down but I was quick enough to hold myself and punch her stomach.
"You are obviously going to be the one to say your last goodbye." I told her as I punched her chin, causing her to fall to the ground. She stood up and wiped the blood on her lips. She furiously ran to me and held my shoulders.
She was about to nod me but I was quick to dodge it. I pushed her to the ground and she hurt her arm. She rose back to her feet angrily but she didn't come for me this time, she brought out a black pistol from her jacket and pointed it at me.
"Now you can't escape from this." She said smiling with mischief.
"Before coming up here I reported to the police and they will soon be here." Just as I was still talking, the police made their way into the building with their sirens blowing up."I would advice you to lower your weapon or else you want to loose everything you just acquired." I told her.
She guffed angrily and brought down her weapon before leaving immediately. I breathed heavily as the police made their way to where I stood holding my chest. After searching around the building they drove me out safely....
