Chapter 9 - Prologue: The End and the Beginning

The war against Voldemort had taken its toll on Harry Potter. At 25, he was a celebrated hero, an Auror, and a devoted father to three beautiful children. Yet, despite his accomplishments, a sense of emptiness lingered within him. The thrill of adventure had faded, and the shadows of his past haunted him. One fateful day, while on a mission to apprehend a rogue dark wizard, Harry was struck by a powerful curse. As he lay dying, a familiar figure emerged from the shadows—Death, the embodiment of the very legend Harry had once sought to conquer.

"Master," Death spoke in a voice that resonated with both power and sorrow, "your time has not yet come. I offer you a second chance—a journey back to a time when your greatest challenge awaited you. You will meet Tom Riddle, a young man destined for darkness. There, you will find what your heart truly seeks."

With a mix of trepidation and excitement, Harry accepted the offer. In a flash of light, he felt the world dissolve around him, and when it reformed, he was standing in front of a mirror, gazing at his eleven-year-old self. The familiar Hogwarts Express was pulling into the station, and Harry knew he had been transported back to 1944.
