Chapter 3 - The Seven Part: 03

Tafeef stared at Sifa in disbelief. Was he hallucinating in broad daylight? Sifa was dead. He had seen her body disappear right before his eyes.

So, how could she have returned?

The girl resembling Sifa pushed Tafeef aside and entered the room. Tafeef followed her, dumbfounded. Strange! Sifa had just entered this room. How could she have vanished so quickly?

Tafeef searched the room thoroughly. There was no one there. Was it his imagination, or had Sifa's spirit returned?

Despairingly, Tafeef sank to the floor. A web of mysteries was closing in on him. He didn't know what to do. He decided he couldn't stay in this haunted house anymore. He would leave for a distant place, and never return to this house.

Tafeef packed his bags and went to buy a train ticket. He would leave this city tonight, no matter what. He couldn't bear these blood-curdling atrocities anymore.

By evening, Tafeef had booked a train ticket and returned home. The train was at 11 pm. He still didn't know if he could escape from all this by running away.

Whatever was destined for him would happen. But he wouldn't spend another night here. When he entered his room, he found it completely ransacked, as if every corner had been searched. But who could have entered the house in his absence? And how?

Why would someone search the place like this? Had someone found out about his secret? Had they come to search for the bodies?

Tafeef's head was spinning with these thoughts. As he opened the wardrobe to get his bags, he was shocked. All his belongings had been thrown out of the bag.

Someone had definitely been in the house!

Tafeef shouted, "Who's there? Come out. If you want to know something, ask me directly, don't confuse me like this."

After saying this, Tafeef waited for a response. After a while, not getting any response, he sat down on the bed, exhausted. He picked up a glass of water to drink.

At that moment, a woman's voice said, "Want to know? Hearing the voice, Tafeef looked up, and the glass slipped from his hand and shattered on the floor. The entire floor was wet. Tafeef said in a terrified voice, "Ms. Sifa!!!"

The girl smiled mysteriously. Tafeef was terrified and asked, "You're alive?"

"You tried to kill me." Asked Sifa

"I don't know anything about it. I didn't kill you. When I woke up, I saw your body floating." Tafeef was terrified.

"Where did you hide the body?" Sifa asked again in a monotonous voice.

"I've told you many times that every girl's body disappears after an hour or so." "Your body also disappeared the same way that day. But how are you alive?" "Is all this just a figment of my imagination?" At this stage, Tafeef started to doubt his sanity.

At that moment, everything started shaking. A dusty, strong wind started blowing in the room. The lights in the room were flickering, and a terrifying wailing sounded in the air, screaming voices that sounded familiar, and eerie murmurs could be heard with the wind. Tafeef was trembling with fear. He looked at the girl resembling Sifa helplessly. The girl began to recite the sacred verse and a few other prayers loudly.

The atmosphere in the room became even more chaotic. Heavy furniture started flying around. The girl recited the verses even louder. After a while, the room became quiet again.

Tafeef looked at the girl and sighed. He had been afraid of her, thinking she was a ghost. The girl looked at Tafeef and said, "Do you know that this house is haunted?"

"I felt something supernatural. But you didn't believe me, you, as a psychologist, thought I was crazy." Told Tafeef as if accusing her.

The girl's face was shadowed. It seemed like she was about to cry. Seeing her condition, Tafeef asked, "What's wrong?"

"Sifa Apu (one's own older sister or someone old enough to be one's sister) died because of you, at the hands of the Jinn."

"If Ms.Sifa is dead, then who are you?" "Believe me, I don't know anything about this. I only shared my matter with her."

"I'm Safa. Sifa and I are twin sisters."Professionally, she is a psychologist, and I am a paranormal investigator. I investigate paranormal incidents. I live abroad. I came back to the country after hearing about Apu's disappearance." Said Safa while looking like she would cry at any given moment.

"How did you find me? And how did you know about all this?"

"I tracked Apu's number and saw that Apu's last call was to you. Last night, I read Apu's diary where she wrote about all her cases. That's how I found out about your case." "I suspected you. I looked at it from a normal perspective, thinking you were making up stories to cover up your dirty deeds. That's why I entered your house and hid. After you left, I checked everything. Now I understand that this is the work of the jinn. They are the ones doing all this." She replied while motioning at the events that occurred just a while ago. "Tell me, why is this happening to you? What is their grudge against you?"

"Ms. Safa, I don't know anything about this. This is all happening to me suddenly. I'm really scared."

"So, why were you running away?" asked Safa Indicating to the tickets.

"To get away from all this. So that I wouldn't wake up and see a dead girl's body anymore."

"With whom else have you shared this matter?"

"With Ms.Sifa and an exorcist. Unfortunately, both of them died a terrible death."

Safa was silent for a moment and said, "I'm leaving. You won't be able to escape from this so easily, so stop thinking about running away. I will help you get rid of this. The rest is up to God. Listen to me. Don't sleep at night, no matter what. There is no chance of this happening during the day, so sleep during the day. I will come again tomorrow night."

Bidding farewell to Safa, Tafeef lay down and started thinking about all this. He didn't realize when he fell asleep. In his sleep, he felt a sharp pain in his body. It felt like someone was trying to pull something out of his body. Despite trying, he couldn't move his hands or feet, and he couldn't open his eyes either. He was suffocating. If this continued, he would die.

Just then, his phone rang. Tafeef realized that Safa had called. Because he had set the ringtone of Safa's number to Ayatul Kursi. Slowly, he began to feel normal. The weight on his body started to decrease.
