Chapter 141 - Chapter 141 : Kinya and Fugaku!!

Heh, I never expected I had changed the plot so much—making most of the Uchiha clan to split up and join the Merchant Association!

Even so, Uchiha Fugaku has still chosen the path he was destined to take.

A coup!

But now, Fugaku doesn't have many people left by his side. Has he even thought this through?

With the small number of people he has, even if the coup succeeds, then what?

Could he possibly suppress the other great clans of Konoha?

Even if he claims the Hokage title, he won't be able to hold onto it for long.

No one would support him!

Originally, if the Uchiha Police Force had worked to gain the villagers' trust, the Uchiha clan could have gradually integrated into Konoha's leadership.

At the very least, they would've earned a chance to legitimately compete for the Hokage position!

It looks like it's time for my dad to have a talk with Fugaku.

If we could avoid the tragedy of the clan's massacre, that would be even better!

In no time, the Uchiha clan could rise to heights it has never reached before—an unprecedented peak!

Now, there are less than two years left until the night of the massacre. Based on my father's plans, in just a few months, when the Ninja Academy enrolls new students, I'll have to start attending.

The massacre, though, will happen in a little over a year. If things go as expected, I'll stay enrolled at the academy until I'm 12.

Thankfully, this isn't an era of war anymore. We don't need kids graduating from the academy at five, heading to the battlefield, and becoming jonin by six.

"Genya, have you heard about what Clan Leader Uchiha Fugaku is planning?" Uchiha Kinya's eyes showed a hint of helplessness.

He never imagined that Fugaku would make such a reckless decision.

Why attempt a coup when they could work toward Konoha's leadership the proper way?

If the clan grows strong enough, they might even build their own village someday! Right now, they should be focusing on strengthening themselves and laying low.

"I've heard some things," Genya replied, looking at Uchiha Kinya. "Father, our clan leader is being too impulsive. Now isn't the time for a coup. You should try to talk some sense into him!"

"Huh? Persuade him?"

Uchiha Kinya looked at his son, his brows furrowed tightly.

He said with some doubt, "If I go and try to persuade him, will he even listen? Fugaku probably still hates us!"

Kinya wasn't wrong. Right now, Uchiha Fugaku did harbor resentment against them. If Kinya tried to reason with him, it might not end well.

"There's no need to convince him," Genya said, his eyes narrowing slightly. His tone, however, remained exceptionally calm. "You just need to explain the situation clearly. If he doesn't listen, then there's nothing we can do."

Truthfully, the rest didn't matter much.

The Uchiha clan needed to be restructured. If their fate couldn't be changed, Genya only needed to secure the safety of the Merchant Association on his end.

The Uchiha needed new leadership.

The civilians in the Uchiha clan didn't deserve to die. But as for Fugaku… Genya didn't care about his life anymore.

If possible, he would also speak with Itachi and Shisui to explain the situation to them clearly.

"Alright… For the future of the Uchiha, I'll go," Kinya finally nodded after some hesitation.

That afternoon, Uchiha Kinya, along with Uchiha Shin, visited Fugaku's home.

Perhaps because Fugaku was busy preparing for the coup, he had been staying home more often recently.

At the house, elders of the clan and Itachi were present.

At this moment, Itachi was practically a double agent, balancing between being a spy for the Third Hokage and keeping an eye on the Uchiha clan.

"What do you want, Kinya?" Fugaku asked coldly as he looked at the man standing before him.

Ever since the Merchant Association had taken over much of the Uchiha police force, Fugaku's authority as clan leader had been steadily diminishing.

So,

Uchiha Kinya was in no mood to be polite.

"Clan Head, I've heard you're planning a coup?" Uchiha Kinya skipped any formalities and went straight to the point.

"How did you find out?" Fugaku frowned, suspicion rising immediately. He couldn't help but think there must be a traitor among his ranks.

Someone must have leaked this!

He mentally went through everyone in his group, but no obvious suspect came to mind.

"It's not hard to figure out," Kinya snorted coldly. "Your people have been wandering around the major clans in Konoha all day. Did you think that wouldn't draw attention?"

He paused, pointing out Fugaku's flaw. "Konoha's Anbu has plenty of sharp-eyed ninjas. You've likely already been exposed."

In essence, Fugaku's team was too small and lacked discretion—leading to their discovery.

But Fugaku, still engrossed in his belief of success, remained unfazed. "So what if they know? Even if we've been found out, I can still succeed!" he said coldly.

His confidence stemmed from the power of his Mangekyō Sharingan, as well as Shisui's. Both were among the strongest forces in the clan.

"This is a rare chance for the Uchiha clan to recover and strengthen itself," Kinya argued, his tone steady but laced with frustration.

"Why would you drag the clan into something so reckless? If you fail, what will happen to the Uchiha clan? We should wait a bit longer—let the younger generation grow stronger first."

Kinya was close to outright saying they should wait for his son, Uchiha Genya, to grow up. By then, whether it was running for Hokage or leaving the village to establish their own, no one would be able to stop them.

But Fugaku only laughed harshly. "Wait for your useless son to grow up? Is that your plan?"

Fugaku's mockery was merciless. He looked at Kinya with disdain. "Right now, both Shisui and I are already the strongest in the clan. Even Itachi is on the verge of awakening the Mangekyō Sharingan. We Uchiha are at our peak strength!"

The elders standing behind Fugaku didn't say a word but nodded silently. They agreed with his perspective.

"You!" Uchiha Kinya sighed helplessly. He couldn't reveal anything about Genya, so he just waved his sleeve dismissively. "Hmph, if that's the case and I can't change your mind, then do as you wish!"

Uchiha Kinya didn't want to linger here any longer and turned to leave.

Uchiha Itachi watched Kinya's retreating figure. His expression was dark, and his thoughts were unreadable.

But his face grew colder and colder with each passing moment.

Hokage's Office

"Hiruzen, Uchiha Kinya went to Uchiha Fugaku's house. Are you still not going to act?" Danzo Shimura said impatiently as he listened to his subordinates' report.

This clan that dreams of rebellion—they all need to be eliminated!

Hiruzen Sarutobi, however, only smiled and puffed on his pipe. "It's not the right time yet."

His words were calm, showing no sign of emotional disturbance over the meeting between the two Uchihas.

"Not the right time?" Danzo was furious. He glared at Hiruzen and said, "Do you even realize how difficult it will be to deal with them if Uchiha Kinya's Merchant Association joins the rebellion?"

"We need to strike first, while they're unprepared, and wipe them all out!"

Danzo's murderous intent was evident, and he continued to push for action.

If the Uchiha clan were eliminated, all of their Sharingan would belong to him!

Hiruzen remained calm and composed. "Don't worry. Soon, someone will come and report the situation to us."
