"Line up in order. I want to see your recent training results. Genya, you'll go last!" Uchiha Zentaro glanced at everyone and signaled them to line up for the test.
Because of Uchiha Kinya, he also reassured Genya, saying, "Don't worry, this is your first time throwing shuriken, so don't stress!"
It was clear from Genya's earlier conversation with the others that he had never thrown a shuriken before. Otherwise, he wouldn't have said he was still learning the technique.
Now, it was time for everyone to throw shuriken.
Each person had five shuriken, and they had to throw them at five wooden targets in front of them. The closer they hit to the bull's eye, the more accurate their technique!
The first to throw was a young boy, about five or six years old, who seemed to have just started at the ninja academy. Out of his five throws, only two hit the targets, and one was near the bull's eye. This was normal for a child of his age.
Then, one by one, everyone took their turn. The best among them was Izumi, who hit the bull's eye with all five shuriken. Even the three-year-old Sasuke managed to hit two bull's eyes, with the other three shuriken landing on the targets.
"Itachi, it's your turn now!"
Everyone turned their attention to Itachi. He was known as a genius in the Uchiha clan, and they were all eager to see what he could do. Genya, too, became focused, wanting to see the talent of this so-called prodigy.
Under everyone's gaze, Itachi confidently walked ten meters away from the targets. With a flick of his sleeve, five shuriken appeared in his hand.
Genya noticed that Itachi held all five shuriken firmly in his palm.
Then, with a swift motion, Itachi flicked his wrist, and all five shuriken flew out at nearly the same time. As expected, they all hit the bull's eye!
Five shuriken hit the bull's eye simultaneously!
The move was so impressive that even the two instructors nearby couldn't help but express their admiration. Itachi's talent was undeniable. It wouldn't be long before his strength surpassed theirs.
The boys standing nearby looked at Itachi with admiration in their eyes. Sasuke and Izumi, too, watched with serious expressions.
Sasuke even exclaimed with awe, "Big brother, you're amazing! I want to be as strong as you one day!"
"Itachi truly deserves to be called the Uchiha genius!"
"Brother Itachi is so strong!"
Sasuke exclaimed, and the other kids started to cheer and shout too, their admiration beyond words. But Itachi just turned away, his expression cold, ignoring the praise from the others. Maybe he was tired of hearing it.
"Genya, you give it a try too!" Uchiha Zentaro walked up to Genya and handed him five shurikens, signaling him to try it out.
Genya nodded, taking the shurikens in his small hands. They were made of high-quality steel, each one just the size of his little hand.
They felt heavy and solid.
For most three-year-olds, throwing them ten meters would be tough, let alone hitting the target.
But Genya was different. Lately, he had been using chakra to strengthen his body, and every cell had been enhanced by the power of chakra.
Plus, the enormous amount of food he ate every day was converted into energy, rebuilding his body to match and adapt to the Dual Pupil eyes!
At this moment, Genya felt like he had endless strength.
He walked to the throwing area without hesitation, a shuriken ready in his hand, and focused his eyes on the bullseye of the first wooden target.
After judging the distance and position, he mimicked Uchiha Zentaro's throwing technique and let the shuriken fly.
Swish!
A flash of cold light.
The shuriken flew past the wooden target, missing it by two feet, and embedded itself deep into a large tree about ten meters behind.
The other instructor, who had just walked over, was drenched in cold sweat as he realized the shuriken had flown right past his head.
He looked up at the shuriken, now stuck in the tree, just an inch away from where his head had been, and swallowed hard in fear.
This kid must have done it on purpose.
Just a little closer, and he would have been killed without even knowing what happened.
When he looked over, he saw the young boy on the other side giving him an apologetic smile.
"How did this kid throw it here?" The coach stared at Genya in disbelief. His initial fear had vanished, replaced by astonishment.
The spot where Genya had thrown the shuriken was over 20 meters away, yet he managed to land it here. The sheer force of the throw was terrifying—more than half of the shuriken had embedded itself into the target.
Even from such a distance, the shuriken remained lethal. The strength in Genya's wrist was far beyond that of an ordinary Chunin. Unfortunately, his accuracy wasn't up to par.
"What incredible power!" Itachi thought as he watched Genya's first throw. Initially shocked by Genya's strength, he soon felt reassured. A smirk of indifference crossed his face.
While Genya's strength was impressive, Itachi was confident that in a real life-or-death battle, he could defeat him in just three moves.
In the world of ninja, raw strength wasn't everything.
Unlike the coach and others, the other children were less experienced. They only noticed that Genya's first throw missed the target, and they snickered in disdain.
"Ahem, that was just a mistake!" Genya chuckled, trying to brush it off. He had been testing his skills with that throw—it was his first attempt, after all.
Quickly, Genya pulled out another shuriken and threw it. This time, he used less force and adjusted his aim.
The shuriken hit the stake dead on.
But he wasn't hitting the center of the wooden stake. If you measured by the ten rings, he was only at the fifth ring at best.
Uchiha Zentaro was sure this kid had never practiced with a shuriken before—his hands were too clumsy. The fact that he hit the stake at all might have been pure luck.
"There's still room for improvement!" Genya said as he grabbed another shuriken.
Thud! Thud!
Immediately after, the third shuriken flew out and struck the center of the wooden stake.
Genya finally let out a sigh of relief. Maybe he wasn't so bad after all.
Hiss...
That throw left Uchiha Zentaro, Itachi, and even the others wide-eyed. Could it really just be luck?
Three throws—and Genya's aim improved with each one. On the third try, he hit the bull's eye directly.
Had Genya secretly trained with shuriken before and was just pretending to be a novice? Or was his talent so extraordinary that he could master it on the spot?
"It's not over yet!"
Seeing the shocked faces around him, Genya smirked and grabbed two shurikens with his right hand. With a quick flick of his small hand, the shurikens flew apart.
"This..."
Itachi's pupils narrowed at Genya's move, and his usually calm expression turned into one of disbelief. He murmured softly, "Impossible..."
At this moment, Genya's technique was exactly like his shuriken throwing technique!
His fingers, wrists, and arms moved just like his!
But this was the first time he was showing his throwing skills to others!
Did Genya learn it?
Not only Itachi, but also the two coaches seemed to have figured out what Genya was up to, and they were a bit amazed!
Is it even possible?
Under the amazed eyes of the crowd, Genya flicked his wrist!
Two shurikens flew through the air!
Ding dong, ding dong.
The sound of the shurikens hitting the wooden target echoed.
