"So, you're telling me you picked a job without consulting me or even checking the others?" The man raised an eyebrow, his expression somewhere between disbelief and disappointment. He let out a slow sigh, tilting his head back toward the cavern ceiling. "You know, I don't even have words for this."
"Well, uh… I just really like history," Niko mumbled, scratching the back of his head.
The man stared at him, deadpan. "You really like history. That's it. No strategic thinking. No second thoughts. Just vibes?"
Niko shrugged. "Pretty much."
The man groaned, dragging a hand down his face. "Of course. Of course, you pick the one job where your first task isn't digging up a fossil or translating an old scroll—it's walking into the Temple of Nothing."
"Yeah, that's my first objective," Niko said casually.
The man froze mid-sigh. "Wait, seriously? That's your first objective?"
Niko nodded. "I mean, there's a marker, so it's not like I'll get lost."
The man muttered something under his breath, shaking his head. "Fantastic. We're doomed."
