Chapter 4 - 4-the boss

"Ah, what should I do now? Get away, you ugly face... Get away, you idiot."

"What made you sit in the middle of my speech?"

I didn't answer; in fact, I couldn't. He looked at me as if examining me, and I think he figured out why I was sitting. And I think everyone beside me had also figured out the reason.

He smiled at me mockingly, as if he was taunting me. "Stand up! Put her on that chair over there."

Everyone was surprised, especially his followers. I think they were expecting my death, and I was also surprised by his action. What caught my attention the most was the scar on his left hand.

When I sat on the chair, I couldn't move my legs. I don't know why, even after the tension that was next to me disappeared, I couldn't move them. I decided to forget about my condition and listen to what that madman had to say.

"Keep going, you rats. Your ignorance in the Tree Experiment on your minds. We will now begin to educate you, or rather, strengthen your feeble minds."

"This phase will last for months. As for the second phase, it will be a physical experiment. And finally, the last phase will be an experiment of your death."

Everyone was shocked by his words and also by his expressions. In truth, he was very handsome, but now he looked like a devil with flesh and bones. Everyone was confused by his face and stopped thinking, and they all had only one thought left: escaping this hell.

"It seems my words have become clear, haven't they? Then, everyone, leave this ship and head to the school, where you will find more information about your doom."

Wait, what? Weren't we on an island? And what is this ending? Is this the end of his speech? I thought to myself.

We were taken off the ship as before, but the difference this time was that they gave us a piece of cloth to cover our eyes. I couldn't see as I walked, and I couldn't feel my body. Suddenly, I opened my eyes without the cover, and I was at the school's entrance.

"Really? Will the last moments of my life be in school?"

After a few moments, I heard the voice of the guard, Jake: "Please proceed through this corridor and enter your classroom. You will learn more after you arrive. Your class will be in B-3. We'll meet soon."

I doubted him for a moment and thought to myself, "Will we meet? It seems this place is full of malice and madness."

My thoughts were interrupted by a voice saying: "Are you okay?" "Yes, thank you for helping me stand up." "You're welcome."

Silence filled the air between us, and the atmosphere was heavy. After a few moments, she spoke to me: "You know? I thought you were going to die.
