The morning light filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow across the room where Mila lay tangled in Chad's embrace. Her fingers traced lazy patterns across his chest as she listened to the steady rhythm of his breathing. Despite the events of the previous night, a sense of calm washed over her as she savored the intimacy of the moment.
Chad stirred beside her, his eyes fluttering open as he met her gaze. A soft smile tugged at the corners of his lips as he brushed a strand of hair away from her face. "Good morning, princess," he murmured, his voice husky with sleep.
Mila returned his smile, her heart fluttering at the affection in his eyes. Chad's fingers traced delicate patterns along her spine, sending shivers of pleasure that dance across her skin. She arched into his touch, a soft sigh escapes her lips as she lost herself in the sensations coursing through her body. "Good morning," she whispered, leaning in to press a gentle kiss against his lips. "But stop teasing me..."
"I like teasing you princess, because I love seeing how much you want me," Chad murmured against her ear, his voice husky with desire. His lips trailed a path of fiery kisses along her neck, igniting a blazing inferno within her.
"I want you Mila..., No, I need you...please don't ever let go..." Chad whispers again as their bodies moved together in a rhythm, each touch and caress a silent symphony of desire and longing. In that moment, there was no past, no future, only the fierce intensity of their love blazing brightly in the darkness.
Mila melted into his embrace, her heart pounding with anticipation as she surrendered herself to the intoxicating passion that consumed them. She tugged at Chad's tousled hair, pulling him closer "Never" she whispers back as their lips met in a searing kiss that left them both breathless and hungry for more.
As their passion reached its crescendo the spell was shattered with an intruding voice that dripped with sarcasm. "Good morning, lovebirds, looks like I'm just in time" Tristan said as he leaned casually against the door frame, his gaze flickering between Mila and Chad with a knowing smirk.
Mila's cheeks flushed crimson as she hastily disentangled herself from Chad's embrace, shooting Tristan a glare of annoyance. "Tristan, could you please knock before barging in?" she snapped, her tone sharp with irritation.
Tristan chuckled, his arrogance radiating off him in waves. "Why, Mila? I'm your lover too," he retorted, his smirk widening into a self-satisfied grin.
Chad shot Tristan a warning glare, his jaw clenched with barely suppressed anger. "Watch your mouth, Tristan. The fact that we're both Mila's lovers, doesn't give you the right to intrude on our privacy," he growled, his voice low and dangerous.
"Touchy, touchy, Chad. You really should learn to relax a little," Tristan taunted, his tone mocking.
"Enough Tristan," Mila sat up, pulling the sheets around her as she met Tristan's piercing gaze. "Tell me, what happened last night? You nearly choked me and then disappeared. Why and where did you go?" she retorted, her voice steady despite the turmoil inside her.
Tristan's expression darkened, his eyes narrowing as he averted his gaze. His eyes flickered with a brief hint of regret before hardening again. "I don't know what happened Mila. One moment I was in control, and the next, it was like I was someone else. I felt really strange, and it was like something triggered me. We need to figure out what's happening, I can never forgive myself for hurting you."
Chad's grip on Mila tightened protectively. "We know something, or someone is manipulating us. We think the same thing happened to Alfonso when he tried to kill Mila. We need to stay focused and figure out what it is, we know it has something to do with the ghost, but if he's responsible for it we still need to find out," he said, his voice firm.
Mila nodded, her mind racing as she tried to piece together the events of the past few days. "Tristan, you need to tell us everything you remember. Every detail could be important." The more detail we have the better."
Tristan hesitated for a moment before sighing deeply. "Fine. After I...um after what happened with you, Mila, I felt this overwhelming urge to choke you and when Chad pushed me off you, I had to leave. I ended up wandering the streets, trying to clear my head. But the more I walked, the more disoriented I became. It's like someone was pulling my strings."
Chad frowned, his mind working through the implications. "It's not just you, Tristan. Alfonso mentioned feeling the same way the night he tried to kill Mila. It's like we're being controlled by some external force."
"Tristan, did anything specific trigger this feeling? Anything you saw or heard?" Mila asked again.
Tristan ran a hand through his hair, frustration evident in his movements, He went and sit on the bed next to Mila and Chad and tried to explain. "It's hard to explain Mila. There was this... noise, like a low hum. It grew louder until it was all I could hear. Then everything went black."
Mila exchanged a concerned glance with Chad. "The same thing happened to Alfonso. He mentioned a noise, too. There must be a pattern or a signal that triggers this. We need to find out what the trigger is."
Chad nodded, his protective instincts kicking in. "We'll get to the bottom of this. But first, we need to stick together and keep an eye out for anything unusual."
Tristan's gaze softened slightly, the usual arrogance dimming. "I'm sorry, Mila. I never wanted to hurt you."
Mila reached out, placing a hand on Tristan's arm. "I know, Tristan. We'll figure it out. But we need to be careful. Whoever is doing this is powerful and dangerous."
Suddenly, the sound of footsteps approaching the door made them all tense. Anna and Alfonso appeared, both looking worried and exhausted.
"Tristan? Where did you come...never mind," Anna began, her voice trembling slightly. "We need to talk. There's something you need to know."
Mila's heart sank. "What is it, Anna?"
Anna took a deep breath, glancing at Alfonso for support. "We did some digging last night into the prophecy and the ghost. We found out that there's a connection between the ghost and a secret organization. They're known for mind control experiments. We think they might be behind what's happening to Tristan and Alfonso."
Chad's expression darkened. "Mind control? That explains a lot. But why target us? What's their endgame, is it about the prophecy maybe?"
Alfonso, still looking pale, spoke up. "It's not just about the prophecy. This organization wants to use us as pawns in their larger scheme. They're after the puzzle pieces for their own gain. They believe the pieces hold the key to immense power."
Mila frown. "So, what you are telling me is that there is more of this puzzle pieces and that it's the key to something? Well then, we definitely need to find all the pieces before they do. We can't let them get their hands on this power."
Tristan's usual arrogance was replaced by a steely determination. "Agreed. We need to stay one step ahead. But first, we need to find a way to counteract their control. We can't afford to have any more incidents."
Anna nodded, a determined look on her face. "There's something else. We found an old text that mentions a ritual, a way to break the control. We need the full moon and it's risky, but we can do it.
"Then we better start now." Tristan replied. Protecting Mila is a chore that I love."
"Yeah, let's do this!" Anna shouts out.
But little did she know that the game is far from over and their next move would be deadly.
