Chereads / COTE: I became Sakura / Chapter 5 - Clubs

Chapter 5 - Clubs

As the lunch break was nearing its end, we returned to the class.

I wrote the groups' IDs on the board, and told the people to join them.

And surprisingly, Horikita actually joined the official group.

Then I guess, Kushida has lost a way to isolate her by constantly egging her on to give her number.

The break ended, and an announcement was made about the club fair after the classes end.

"Which club are you going to join, Sakura-chan?"

Sato asked me, with a '-chan' suffix.

"Music, Manga and Judo."

Music is the obvious one. I can sing, but not really play any instruments.

Manga is for making connections with the otakus to draw JJK for me as I write the story, and have their help in my YouTube.

And Judo for self-defense.

"Huh!? Three clubs!?"

"Yeah. It's not like I will need to go to all the clubs everyday, right? Which clubs will you join, Sato-chan?"

"Hmm... probably none. Maybe if there is a fashion club..."

Classes ended, and we went to the club fair.

Sato, Matsushita, and a bunch of OC girls followed me around. It seems like my faction is growing.

I just need to keep this up, frustrate Kushida, and find her stress release location using the stalking feature of the map before it closes down.

We talked on the way, and looked at the various clubs.

"Excuse me Senpai, can I join multiple clubs?"

I asked the Judo club's recruiter, and he nodded.

"Yes. You can join as many club as you want! Want to join Judo club!?"

"Umm, I want to learn self-defense. Which will be the best, Judo or Karate?"

There were only Judo and Karate clubs in martial arts, sadly.

"Self-defense? Judo is of-course better!"

But when I asked the Karate club's recruiter, he said,

"Of course, Karate is better for self-defense!"

"Does anyone know which is better?"

I asked my group, and they shook their head.

Maybe Horikita knows what's better?

"Forget it. I will look for it later."

I signed up for the Music group, and asked them, "Hey Senpai, can we post an original song on YouTube? Does the school allow it?"

I am confused. It was said that no outside contact is allowed, and apps like Instagram, Facebook and LINE are banned, with alternatives installed in the phone.

Yet, that is not the case with YouTube.

"You actually can. But, it should have no talking, school event and stuff, and you will need your teacher to approve of your video before posting.

You can record your song in the Music Club's room, and post it on YouTube, but you can't mention that it is from this school or any information.

Likewise, you can also have your one-way blog. But before posting anything, you need to get it approved.

Oh. You can also mail the school for approval if you don't want your teacher to look. But don't try to indicate in any way that you are in this school or try to talk online with the outside world, even if it is one-way."

"Oh. I see."

The school probably allows this as it sees YouTube and Blogging as a career, or useful to it.

"Then, I would like to join. You guys want to join?"

Sadly, no one else wanted to join any club.

Finally, we arrived at Manga and Anime club. Where Sotomura was looking well adjusted, as if he hasn't just joined.

"Hello. Welcome to the Manga and Anime club-"

The club president started explaining about the club. He even gave us a small demo on how manga and anime are made.

"Plus, with being in this club, you can use the club funds provided by the school to rent manga for research."

"OH!?"

Nah. I am good with pirate sites. Since I am more used to read manga in English.

But well...

"I have thought about a story, but I don't know how to draw. Can we make a manga together?"

"Of course! We would love to have you in the club!

But, this school doesn't allow sending out the mangas to publishing houses like Shonen Jump..."

Oh. That might be a problem...

"What if we create a subscription based website and app to post it? I am good in English, so I think we can earn more money without paying for translators or having pirates posting the chapters.

Like a patreon or something?"

"Huh? That can work...

But I will need to ask the Club Advisor if it is possible..."

"I can make the website and app!"

Sotomura assured the team, and even many senpais.

Hmm. I hope this actually works. I have to start posting JJK before Gege.

"Then, where do I sign?"
