VALERAINE'S POV
"Raine?"
It's my father's voice…
I force my eyes to open but I can't. It feels quite heavy.
"Raine, my daughter please wake up."
Then a small drop of water touched the skin of my face.
"All of what I'm doing for the Emperor is all for your sake. If you die, my life won't have any direction. Please wake up, Raine."
He sobs. Is my father crying?
My father shouldn't cry like this. I gathered all of my energy and successfully opened my eyes slowly. It feels too heavy.
"Valeraine." That voice…
Then I feel that someone is holding my right hand.
"You have to wake up. Open your eyes now."
The moment he finished saying that, the force that kept me from closing my eyes disappeared and I successfully saw the ceiling.
"I'm awake." I said.
