"How's my father?" I asked Physician Zian. My father is lying on his bed, sleeping. Mother is alright but still needs to rest in a separate room to avoid the suspected virus to spread.
Physician Zian suddenly bows and I feel someone behind me.
"What happened to them?" Eryx asked. I stood up and was about to greet him but he put his hands on my shoulder to keep me from doing it. It's been an hour since I sat on this chair and my father is still unconscious.
"Replying to Your Majesty," he started and then bowed. "The YangYin fountain at the Central Palace appeared to have poisonous water according to the investigation. Anyone who drinks or touches the water will suffer. Duke Mandel didn't only touch it, but also drink it."
I can't bear to hear it again. Why would he drink water from a fountain?
