Akua's eyes narrowed as she watched Kwame's every move. She knew him too well, and his sudden nervousness only made her more suspicious.
"Kwame, what are you hiding?" Akua demanded, her voice firm.
Kwame sighed, rubbing his temples. "Akua, I...I don't know how to say this."
"Try," Akua said, her arms crossed.
Kwame took a deep breath. "My past, Akua...it's come back to haunt me. Someone from my past is threatening to expose our family's secrets."
Akua's eyes widened. "What secrets?"
Kwame hesitated before answering. "Secrets about our family's business dealings, Akua. Things I didn't want you to know."
Akua felt a chill run down her spine. "What kind of secrets, Kwame?"
Kwame's eyes pleaded for understanding. "Akua, please...just trust me. I'll handle it."
But Akua's trust was shattered. She knew Kwame was hiding something big.
