"All right, I will read a story now." She gently caressed their cheeks.
"Once upon a time, a widowed woman was living in Soweto village and had given birth to two children who were twins; one was a boy, and the other one was a girl.
A boy was blessed with smartness and intelligence, so, when it came to performance, the boy performed better than the girl in academics. The mother began being attentive to the boy and neglected the girl....." It didn't take long before the kids fell asleep, since she was too exhausted and moving would wake them up, she also fell asleep as they closely snuggled into each other's arms.
Sixth Master Huo, who had been earlier on left in the dining room, had moved over to the sitting area, hoping they would come down once they were done with whatever took them upstairs, but no, it's been an hour already, and they hadn't returned.
He got up and strode through the stairs over to the first-floor corridor that led him into their bedroom; he carefully opened the bedroom door. He couldn't see them in the sitting area, so he went over to the bigger bedroom and slightly opened the door; from the door, he could see all of them snuggled in bed.
"You brats! You can't wish me good night?" He softly grumbled, walking into the bedroom, dragging the bed cover, and tucking them nicely.
The weather was cold so he regulated the heater to keep the room warm. Switched the dim lights on interchangeably with the bright lights. He made sure all the windows were closed and curtains drawn.
He got over to the bed, bent over, and pecked their forehead, kissing each one of them. His eyes lingered around Tang Fei's face and gently caressed it moving the hair fringes to the back of her ears.
"I hope you have truly changed! The kids need you, and I need you; I hope you will see and feel how much I love you and the kids love and adore you! Don't betray and disappoint them anymore, they are too fragile! We all want to live such a simple and fruitful life." He softly muttered, but Tang Fei, who had woken up from the moment he got into the bedroom, heard his little murmurs that slightly had hope and a sad tone.
She wanted to open her eyes and assure him that she had changed and acknowledged her mistakes, but she knew that wouldn't be the right response at the moment. He would begin to doubt her!
He kissed her cheek for the last time before leaving the bedroom and closing the door behind him. He walked through the sitting area exiting and closed the door.
He walked back to his bedroom, which was on the same floor. It was almost midnight, and the only thing he wanted to do was have some good rest.
Tang Fei, who hadn't slept until something like 3 in the morning, having things occupying her mind, finally fell asleep! It was a new environment; she had been an assassin her entire past life and could go an entire week without having a wink of sleep. It had become a norm, and now, being surrounded by the kids, she wasn't gonna be used to their presence so easily.

Monday Morning
It was Monday morning, and they hadn't woken up; Sixth Master Huo, who had flown out of the mansion at 4 in the morning, was also back in the mansion, but it was already 8 in the morning.
"Good morning Sixth Master Huo..." With their head bowed the maids greeted him while they cleaned the floor. This was their routine; they cleaned the entire place, and once they were done, they would move to the servant's quarters; he hated women roaming around his mansion while he was present.
