"I'm done pretending." Sylus made a harsh noise in the back of his throat as he rounded the car, pulling the door of the passenger seat open. "Harley." My name rolled off his tongue like a confession of sin. "Out."
Why was he so mad at me?
Is this because I blatantly refused his help?
Brutal hands grabbed my arm, pulled me out of the car, and wrapped around my waist, throwing me into the air. I yelped, blinking in shock. Sylus's shoulder slammed into my stomach.
Why did he do this to me often? He'd thrown me over his shoulder. He was carrying me towards the entrance door.
We moved inside, right straight to his room, and he slammed the door shut with a loud bang.
"Sylus," I said as he put me down to my feet, not failing to notice how he had me trapped between him and the wall. "Look, I don't know what you think you're doing... But we won't be—"
