I was suddenly mute, just staring at the man before me. Sylus was too overwhelming.
What happened to ignoring him and pretending like he wasn't there? But I just couldn't help it. He knew how to push my buttons, how to drive me mad, like he was in control. He knew how to make me lose it, how to make me want to go on my knees for him.
No!
I immediately flinched back, creating distance between the both of us. What could only be irritation crossed Sylus's feature, a brow shooting up. He leaned into my space, braced a hand over my head, his voice going low. "You can't ignore me, dimples, you know you can't." He dragged his lips along my cheekbones. "It's not going to solve whatever this is between us. I wouldn't allow you to ignore me for long anyway."
"You're doing this to piss me off, aren't you?" I asked, voice raw.
"Do what?" Sylus countered, his lips ghosting over mine. My heart skipped a beat, my throat bobbing as I swallowed.
