Irritation was burning up my spine as I took the elevator down to the last floor and headed to the private cafeteria in the company where I eat with my brothers on breaks.
The door set apart automatically, and I stepped in, my eyes tracing over to the table where I was sure they were.
"Sylus!" My youngest brother, Avi, who held a massive smile on his face, waved at me, beckoning me to come closer. I strolled over to them to sit down, my smile growing slightly at the sparkle in his gray eyes.
"Is that a dark circle under your eye?" I shifted my gaze to my other brother, who came a year after me, his hands running through his slicked-back brown hair. "Yes, Adam, yes, this is in fact a dark circle."
If they knew the beautiful trouble I had sitting at home, they would understand why this was under my eyes.
"Okay, calm down." Avi patted my shoulder and glanced over me to order a bottle of whiskey.
"Avi, no drinking at work," I said to him.
