Ji-eun woke up feeling unusually refreshed, thanks to the unexpected comfort of her recent ghostly experiences. She stretched and prepared for the day, mentally bracing herself for another round of dealing with Joon-ho's antics. She had hoped for a calm day, but the universe seemed to have other plans.
As ji-eun made her way to the kitchen, she was greeted by an unusual sight again just as usual. Joon-ho was floating in the air, spinning in lazy circles but this time he was trying to make breakfast. A frying pan was hovering in front of him, and he was somehow managing to flip pancakes without making a mess—or so he thought.
"This is weird me" Ji-eun said rubbing her eyes sleepily
"Good morning!" Joon-ho called out cheerily, the pancakes wobbling precariously in the pan. "Care for a ghostly breakfast?"
Ji-eun raised an eyebrow, observing the scene with a mix of amusement and exasperation. "Are you seriously trying to cook?"
Joon-ho grinned. "Why not? I thought I'd give it a shot. It's not like I have to worry about getting grease on my clothes."
Ji-eun shook her head. "Just promise me you won't set anything on fire. Last time you tried to help, you nearly turned the kitchen into a disaster zone."
Joon-ho feigning innocence. "I promise nothing. But look—no fires yet!"
Ji-eun sighed, taking a seat at the kitchen table. "I'll take my chances with the ghostly pancakes."
Joon-ho floated down to the table, setting a plate in front of her with a flourish. "Voila! Ghostly pancakes, made with 100% supernatural ingredients."
Ji-eun picked up a fork and took a tentative bite. To her surprise, the pancakes were actually quite good—fluffy and light, with just the right amount of sweetness. She looked at joon-ho, who was floating nearby, looking pleased with himself.
"Okay, I'll admit it," Ji-eun said, swallowing her bite. "These are pretty good. Maybe you do have some hidden talents after all."
Joon-ho beamed. "See? I told you. Just because I'm dead doesn't mean I can't be a culinary genius."
Ji-eun shook her head, smiling despite herself. "What's next? Are you going to start offering ghostly cooking classes?"
Joon-ho chuckled. "Only if you promise to be my first student."
Before ji-eun could respond, her phone buzzed with a notification. She glanced at it and saw a reminder about a lunch meeting with her crush, Seok-jin. Her heart skipped a beat. The meeting was a big deal—she wanted to make a good impression and avoid any awkwardness.
Joon-ho noticed her distraction and floated closer. "What's up? You look nervous."
Ji-eun hesitated, then shared her concerns about the lunch meeting. "I've got this lunch with Seok-jin today, and I really don't want to mess it up. I've been looking forward to it, but now I'm starting to worry about every little thing."
Joon-ho floated thoughtfully, then offered a mischievous grin. "Well, if you want, I could come along and keep an eye on things. I promise to stay out of sight."
Ji-eun frowned. "You mean, you want to be a ghostly observer?"
Joon-ho shrugged. "Why not? I can give you pointers from the sidelines. And if things get too awkward, I can help you out."
Ji-eun considered the offer, then reluctantly agreed. "Fine, but just keep your distance. I don't need you making things even more complicated.
"As the day progressed, Ji-eun met Seok-jin at the café. The lunch started off smoothly, and she felt her nerves settling. However, as the conversation began to flow, she felt a sudden chill and heard a faint whisper in her ear.
"Nice weather we're having, huh?" Joon-ho's voice echoed softly.
Ji-eun nearly choked on her drink, her face turning red. Seok-jin looked at her curiously. "Are you okay?"
Ji-eun forced a smile. "Yeah, just… having a moment. Sorry."
Joon-ho's ghostly antics continued—whispering comments, making objects shift slightly, and generally being a disruptive presence. Ji-eun did her best to maintain her composure, but she could feel the embarrassment mounting.
After the lunch, Ji-eun managed to escape the café with Seok-jin's promise to catch up again soon. She was both relieved and mortified, knowing that Joon-ho's presence had not gone unnoticed. When she returned home, Joon-ho was waiting for her with a sheepish look. "So, how was it? Did I make things worse?"
Ji-eun sighed, sitting down at the table. "You were… less than helpful. But I appreciate the effort. I guess you were just trying to help."
Joon-ho floated down next to her. "I didn't mean to embarrass you. I was just trying to make things interesting."
Ji-eun shook her head with a smile. "Well, you certainly managed to do that. But next time, try to be a little less… obvious."
Joon-ho nodded, looking genuinely apologetic. "Got it. I'll work on being a more subtle ghost."
"Anyhow subtle ghost, I guess this human needs a nap" she yawned and went directly to her room to sleep
